Im not sure if I fell for a media trick, but Buzz Williams seems like a class act. The pieces they did in the post game on both the special needs group he runs, as well as the star spangled banner education to his team, made me want to pull for him in the future (other than against UNC of course).

Love the national anthem education! If only more people in America felt the same way....

I've always thought Buzz was a good dude and got the most out of whatever guys he could recruit. And I think Roy has more respect for Buzz than for most other coaches.

Buzz could teach those morons at NC state a thing or two about the national anthem. Well no, he couldn't, I am not sure they can be educated.

Apparently he schooled Seth Davis too but I didnt see it. Something about Seth trying to say that UVA plays an enjoyable style of basketball and Buzz proceeded to explain how UVa just fouls constantly and relies on moving picks. Would like to see that exchange.

No connection I am aware of but for example the way he taught his team about the national anthem and why they will be respectful while it is played, strikes me as being very Dean Smith like. I have said before, Buzz is on my short list of coaches I would like to see take over our program when Roy does decide to hang them up.

Buzz Williams is truly a class act. He ran his Buzz's Bunch while at Marquette University. He always would have time to talk to anybody about anything. He treated everyone with respect from the administrators to the custodial staff. Many were very sad to see him leave Marquette, but I felt he always kinda wanted to relocate South. I thought he would have went back home to Texas, but he chose VTech when the opening arose. Very class act.

+1. Virginia Tech doesn't deserve a guy like Buzz.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought he had a connection with the program.

Sometimes an older generation will judge younger generations a bit harshly. Buzz knows that. If you do not teach the correct way to honor and respect traditions, we have to blame ourselves.

Huge fan of Buzz......agree with DSouthr.....would most certainly be on my short list!!!!
