What are our priorities going in to the bye week?
This bye week is coming at a great time. We have positive momentum but several things we need to clean up. There are guys like Nazair Jones who may be banged (and hopefully is able to return quickly).
I really like the way the defense responded in the second half versus GaTech. They just need to keep getting better with every game and not start reading headlines. It was great seeing Cayson Collins active and making plays...looked like the player that we know he can be. Andre Smith looks to be developing as a legitimate option at MLB as well. Growth in our DL can take this D to the next level.
On offense we need our timing belt (QB) to click. Q has to be more than an athlete. If he can be consistent with his throwing and decision-making, this offense could be unstoppable. Some times his decision comes down to taking what the defense gives you. Just dump it down to the RB for five yards (or possibly more). He needs to focus on first downs...let the playmakers do the rest.
