The interesting part to me is the fact that he never said anything even close to: I nor my staff did anything wrong! What a perfect opportunity to get ahead of any innuendo or bad press that such a "savvy" media manipulator missed...hmmm? I would think and innocent man might react with surprise or righteous anger when he was accused falsely. One who might be the focus of an FBI probe just might not want to say anything that could be used against him!
Yup. Very evasive and inconclusive... He could have easily said: "Let the FBI come, we've got nothing to hide"...... but he didn't.
Spot on Oz, if someone even hints to you that you have done something or involved in something you have not been you don't avoid the question nor do you go talk square peg in round holes mumbo jumbo! You straight up flat out state you were not in any way involved and you actually look for ops to proclaim your innocence.

If I were a UK and UK was guilty of wrongdoing, I would want them to be caught and punished. I don't know why any fan of any team wouldn't insist things be done according to not only the NCAA rules, but the rules of morality as well. That is the reason I can't quite understand Louisville and UNC fans continuing to defend their program's actions.

If he says "come at us, we have nothing to hide", he's setting himself up for ridicule if something comes to light. Pitino has done a pretty good job of making himself look like a fool and I think there are going to be a lot of coaches who answer the way Cal did because of it.
