Calpari...well just listen

The interesting part to me is the fact that he never said anything even close to: I nor my staff did anything wrong! What a perfect opportunity to get ahead of any innuendo or bad press that such a "savvy" media manipulator missed...hmmm? I would think and innocent man might react with surprise or righteous anger when he was accused falsely. One who might be the focus of an FBI probe just might not want to say anything that could be used against him!

Yup. Very evasive and inconclusive... He could have easily said: "Let the FBI come, we've got nothing to hide"...... but he didn't.

He could have just said, "WHAT! This is quite a surprise! Why would they target us?" Instead he chose the technique of the guilty; put the accuser on trial!

Spot on Oz, if someone even hints to you that you have done something or involved in something you have not been you don't avoid the question nor do you go talk square peg in round holes mumbo jumbo! You straight up flat out state you were not in any way involved and you actually look for ops to proclaim your innocence.

If you have nothing to hide then you have no reason to worry but the converse is as well true...

"BBN has nothing to worry about."

That's all he had to say. Couldn't have been more evasive.

"BBN has nothing to worry about." They will be easily able to find another coach, after all I have done to build this program. But after discussing things with my family, I have decided to take another shot at living my dream, coach and GM of an NBA basketball team! I have spoken to my good friend William Wesley concerning multiple offers that have come my way from NBA clubs.

Now I want the BBN to understand, this has in no way anything to do with this recent scandal in college basketball, I have nothing but love and the ut most respect for the BBN after all built it from the ground up to represent them! I made college basketball a recognized sport for the state of Ky and it is my ever lasting gift to those wonderful people that so deserve everything I give them.

You mean like UNC has said they have nothing to worry about?

What Cal said is accurate. To say with 100% confidence there is nothing that could be dug up would be disengenuous. Similar to completely denying any wrong-doing even AFTER evidence is found to the contrary.. like you know who.

You talking about Lance Thomas or Corey Maggette or BOTH? Yeah, that is kinda similar to Derrick Rose now that I think about it...

I mean seriously... do you uk trolls just lurk here until you see a thread that triggers you, like some sleeper agents from a bad spy novel? Get a life.

Wow.......weak, I mean seriously weak. Why don't you then, as a UK fan, put yourself out there and tell us what you think? Are you saying you truly believe as a fan of UK that there is nothing for them to worry about? You truly believe Calipari and the UK coaching staff have never engaged in any sort of unethical or illegal activities that are currently being investigated by the FBI?

Stay on point, now - don't come back with some diversion of an answer. Yes or no - do you believe UK will be implicated at any time in this?

If I were a UK and UK was guilty of wrongdoing, I would want them to be caught and punished. I don't know why any fan of any team wouldn't insist things be done according to not only the NCAA rules, but the rules of morality as well. That is the reason I can't quite understand Louisville and UNC fans continuing to defend their program's actions.

Exactly what action has taken place with our bball team? You have jack s&*% evidence of any.

The perfect capper to that would have been if someone had asked him about World Wide Wes.

That is hilarious.
Perhaps he is a miracle worker like the walking corpse over to "Lewis"ville, you know, the kids benefit from " his coaching", stay away from that bag of $$$ in the corner.

Why are you moderators so patient with these trash fans? On other boards, the Tar Heel fans have no leeway. Ban these mother****ers.

Well.. nice try but UNC men's basketball did NOTHNG wrong.

If he says "come at us, we have nothing to hide", he's setting himself up for ridicule if something comes to light. Pitino has done a pretty good job of making himself look like a fool and I think there are going to be a lot of coaches who answer the way Cal did because of it.

Now you may say "if you have nothing to hide, why worry about anything?" Because you never know, that's why.

No, I don't. Nor do I think Duke will be.

If you disagree with this conclusion, youre more than welcome to leave. No one is asking you to stick around.

Cmon Gary, you really expect UK fans to have lives? ;)
