How Joe Breschi's teams can be so wildly up and down, within the same match?

I think his teams are the worst for that I have ever seen across a number of years - in any sport.

No. No I cannot. This season has been maddening.

@UNC71-00, you got anything?

Honestly, he saved his job last season with the Natty.

Breschi's teams have always lacked focus. I thought he might have turned the corner when he hired Metzbower and in some ways, it has gotten better on offense. But the defense absolutely goes to sleep during games and we lose focus on special teams (faceoffs,rides/clears, EMO and EMD) and fundamentals.

But all that being said, he deserves the benefit of the doubt with regards to his tenure. Guy is a great role model and our players are not the typical lax boys that are hated by everyone else on campus. He's also an alum.

If he can make the final 4 once every 3-5 years from here on out, I'm good with that.

Winning the ACC tournament followed by this mess. Tonight, UNC looks like the club lacrosse team from The Citadel that got drafted to face Albany because it had similar colors to UNC.

Mike Fox's teams seem well coached even when they lose more than I would like. But Breschi's teams seem to be like a collection of stars brought together for a week of practices before a tournament.

Albany is one of the best teams in the country, we played them at Albany and lost by 3 goals. No shame here.

Did you see the 1st half? The team played as poorly, as stupidly, as lethargically, as I said.

Then in the 3rd quarter we came alive and played up to our potential. The swing is so large it is almost to believe, save when you see it and are forced to believe something that crazy did happen.

And it is the norm under Breschi.

I agree Albany was under-seeded. I thought they should be #6. And I do think they are good enough to win it all, if a couple of breaks fall their way. That combined with how great we were in the 2nd half until running out of gas only highlights the problems with the program. Our lacrosse team has talent like Clemson football. About half the time, it plays that way, and most of the rest it plays like it has the talent of Syracuse football.

What I saw in the first half was Albany winning every face off and putting every shot on goal.

Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.
