Taken from ESPN article on Giles commitment:
Also playing a major role in the recruitment of Giles was Duke associate head coach Jeff Capel.
"Jeff built a great relationship with Harry and that was key," Oak Hill assistant coach Cory Alexander said.
I've repeatedly asked this question of Clint and have not received a complete response. What can UNC do to combat Jeff Capel's impact on the recruiting trail?
Has Carolina made any inroads in their attempt to overcome, counteract or out-recruit Capel?
Is it possible to overstate the impact he has made recruiting for Duke?
Because my impression of the situation is that he has made a HUGE difference. My reality is Duke doesn't land Rodney Hood (as a transfer), Jabari Parker, or Justice Winslow without Jeff Capel. And you could maybe add Tyus Jones and Jahil Okafor to that list.
