D holds them to 3 and out.

We got the ball at the 50. MW had a nice 3rd down completion. Hood gets 3 carries on 1st and goal from the 9 and scores with a great 2nd effort on 3rd down from the 1. We go for 2 and get it.

8-0. 9 min left in Q1

A&T with a few nice plays to get to our 40, then drive stalls. Shanked punt and it looks like we will get it back around the 25

Anyone reading this should switch to UVa ND right now

Saw about 90% of the ND v. UVA game, turned out to be a great game to watch if you're a fan of college ball. ND was a -13.5 point favorite.

Hope that kid, Malik Zaire, is okay . . . wishes for a speedy recovery going his way.

Back to this game- its a blowout as expected- 36-0. Only question is whether or not we cover Billys spread.

Starters on both sides of the ball pretty much dominated the game. A & T has a few excellent offensive weapons but until UNC starting to sub alot this game was over early. Nice bounce back game for Williams and it was nice to see him take off with the ball a few times.

My son and I went to the game. I was impressed by the crowd. For the weather and the opponent more showed up than I thought would.

The D did give up some yards, too many in the run game. A & T does have speed and UNC did a good job getting guys to the football. I think that is the biggest difference I see on that side of the ball. Great effort.

On offense I was disappointed in the offensive line. We did not dominate in the trenches like we should have. There were some plays with holes, but there were a lot of 1 & 2 yard runs. Why on earth would a play caller ever run Hood to the sidelines? He is a north and south guy. Run him to his strengths. We have other backs that can get to the edge, but most of our production is going to be north and south.

In warm ups Mitch looked so much better than Williams. Mitch was hitting the receivers in stride while Williams was inconsistent with no one applying pressure. In live game action both did well, however Williams did miss a couple of throws. I do not know what the coaches see in practice, but I think to reach our full potential we need Mitch starting. JMHO

Kicker hit a 48 yard field goal with ease. So good to see the improvement in that area so far.

Yesterday for me was a funeral for a friend. So I caught no part of the game.

Re: QBs - at times I think either Fedora is monomaniacal about a QB running with power between the tackles or else he feels that MW's oft expressed sense of entitlement must be met to avoid the blow up if it is not indulged.

I do not feel as good about facing Illinois in Game 3 as I did before the season started.
