Oh yeah, won't deny it. Your team, but who took 2 out of 3 this past season? It's just bs to say your team is better when the overall stats last 7+ years say differently. My boys laid an egg last year, I'll admit that. Also in 14,12 and 11. Also the pressure is on this season with all this talent. But has to hurt to know that Duke has had upper hand lately

Question Oh-Wise-One: Coach K stated, a while back, that he would no longer recruit one-and-done players. With that being said; just how long will the newly reclassified 2017 recruit - who recently pledged to dook, stay with the coach who no-longer recruits said players?

This is the first I've heard of K making that statement. Would you care to share when he said this and to who did he say this to? I'll take A for the answer to your twicky question though
Know what has to hurt? Not making it out of the first weekend of the NCAAT time after time. 3 1st round draft picks, the 2nd pick in the 2nd round, tha ACC preseason POY, and yet another exit in the 1st weekend. Now that's great coaching! We tease UK fans about Cal only winning one title with all those loaded teams, but at least he never flames out in the first weekend. It takes a LOM TO accomplish that 3 times.
I admitted that, and I'd be lying if I said I was happy with how my team has played overall in tournament last few years. This past season was one of the hardest to sit thru as a fan. I make no excuses for Duke not doing as well as they have, and realize how it will look if they honestly don't win it all this coming season. I knock Ol Roy but he's done real well over the last couple years, just hasn't fared too well against Duke
Because if he goes back further he would have to include more national championships for UNC.
If I went back further, say 15+ years, it's just as bad. Like 27-14 I think. Both have the same amount of titles since 2000, but the head to head is not close. If you want to be honest.
You're still just picking a random number to try and prove your point. All time is 135-110 in UNC's favor. Let me ask you a question though. If I gave you the option of going 1-2 last year against UNC, but you win the national championship or you go 2-1 against UNC, but lose in the first weekend which option would you take?

I went back further, like asked. That's what I love about some of you guys. I've said I'm not happy about how Duke has done lately, matter of fact it chaps my a** with how my team has done, just showed the head to head record over the last 7 years, then last 17, in the convo of who's better.
Right, but you chose a time period that benefited duke. You're cherry picking your facts. It's much easier to look at the all time series.
I don't think the best way to judge how good a team is should be based on three games in a 30+ game season, but I'll be more than happy to be the lesser team if that means I get a national championship.

You are limiting the time period so that it is favorable to you. Why put a time limit on it?
So what is your measurement to decide the better program? Titles, head to head record, who has the better coach or some kind of combination of that and other factors? I can easily pull out stats that say Roy has performed better in several areas than K has which makes him the better coach, but you could do the same with K.
You wouldn't like me posting here after we won it all though, just offering my view. The truth is it's two of the best programs. That's the one thing we can agree on. Both coaches do it differently, yet have been successful.

Yeah Dean got the best of K for a while, then after he built Duke up his way, it started changing. I can't stand Carolina, but will admit they are a great program.
