per ESPN power index ...Gonzaga 55% , UNC 26% , Oregon 17% and South Carolina 2%.

I have no chance to win, but in ESPN's Poll of 18 million entries, I currently ranked #13,242 with UNC has the champion.

I think SC is much better than people are giving them credit. They are playing lights out on defense right now and shutting down some of the best players in the country. Gonzaga had better not sleep on them.

I agree. SC plays a very aggressive, physical brand of defense. If the refs allow them to play this very physical style of ball, they will be a hard out.

Gonzaga's % is only so high because they give South Carolina just a 2% chance to beat them.
I think its SC with 12% chance vs. Gonzaga, but still you're right.... and that is why they are giving the Zags better overall odds to win it all (at like 7 to 5, Heels at 8 to 5 I think).

But the ESPN BPI predictor is pretty much garbage, I think. How can you say a team that is only a 5 point dog (S. Car.), playing a good team but one that hasn't been supremely tested in regular season conference or in the tourney......has only a 12% chance of winning? I'd give S. Car. at least a 35% chance against the Zags.

And giving any team a 55% overall chance to win it all, in the final four is pretty crazy, especially since its not like Zags are an undefeated juggernaut, that went undefeated in a killer power 5 conference, and who are facing a bunch of 8+ seeds the rest of the way to win the title. I wouldn't be surprised if whoever wins between UNC and Oregon is slightly favored over Zags IF they get to Monday night.
