Drove by the stadium a few minutes ago on my way to the hospital. Wanted to show the wife and kids where I hang out when I’m shooting basketball and football.
I’m having a surgical procedure on the tumor in my neck today to see if the cancer came back and to find out of they will be able to eventually cut this thing out of me safely. So I’ll be out of commission the rest of the day. I’ll be watching until they knock me out at around 215.

Hope everything went ok. But now you have a different issue. Since we won, we're going to need you to get a procedure done for the rest of the year. Can't jinx it.
I’m out of surgery. Not sure what was better, waking up to a UNC win or a peckers loss to Stetson.

Oklahoma’s gamble pays off and will face UnC at 6:00 on Saturday with their Ace on the Mound… Bring the bats boys!!!!
Oklahoma went with the approach I was talking about last week. It’s always a tough decision but now they have their best pitcher against the Heels. It does help that UNC has another good one going today. Should be a good one.
I think our rotation and bullpen is deep enough to be ok with starting Knapp yesterday. My concern has always been our offense and it still is.
If we get the DeCaro from last weekend and first of year we should be fine… Oklahoma doesn’t have a potent offense so just keep it low scoring, work Witherspoon’s pitch count and try to get to their bullpen..
Plus it’s not like we haven’t faced anyone like him this year..
Yeah, I think if we can get their pitcher out early, then we should be ok. He's been very good over his last few starts, though.
I sincerely wish the best for you and coincidentally, I too was having surgery yesterday during the game, and part of it also involved my neck....but mine was minor and fairly superficial. I actually had a post composed making light of my situation that I was going to post before the game but I decided not to post it and now, seeing what you were dealing with, I'm glad I didn't.
In my mind, we had two Tar Heel victories yesterday, and yours is at least as important as the baseball one. Actually, my Carolina conscience is trying to keep me from saying it, but yours is MORE important.
