They tried, really hard. They thought the OU flame thrower was going to whip us. Look at the other regionals with no name programs and we got 2 P2 schools somehow...amazing. They tried, Nebraska was on fire but flamed out.

Not sure. It's some type of convoluted process that everyone but the NCAA thinks is stupid.

ShI believe possibly if you play the same team twice the away team the first game becomes the home team the 2nd game automatically, then if you play a 3rd time it’s a coin flip

Per the Google

"In the first-round of each regional tournament, the home team will be the higher seed. In subsequent games, the home team shall be determined according to the following formula: 1. The institution that has been the home team the fewer number of times shall be designated the home team. If both teams have been the home team the same number of times, it kicks to a tiebreaker awarded to whichever team has been the visiting team more often."

Personally, I would change it to "the higher seed is the home team," but that makes too much sense for the NCAA.
