The fact that this is the 1st SoCon team to win it is not particularly interesting to me. What is very interesting is that Chattanooga has a 6-10 freshman F who nailed 5 3s in the Championship Game. If UNC had such a tall 4 nailing 3s, then even undersized Lubin would have his way in the lane on Offense.

Agree that a SoCon team winning the NIT is not all that interesting, EXCEPT - I think it shows what NIL and the Portal are doing to college athletics.
