East Lincoln football and basketball star Chazz Surratt will soon be able to give a definitive answer to the constant "Where are you going to college?" questions.
Surratt on Sunday said he will announce his college decision 2:40 p.m. Tuesday at East Lincoln High School. Surratt, a four-star quarterback, will play football and not basketball in college.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior last month listed his top four choices as, in alphabetical order, Duke, North Carolina, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
Surratt has led the East Lincoln football and basketball teams to a combined 40-1 record this school year. He quarterbacked the football team to a 16-0 season and 2AA state championship and then followed with a 24-1 basketball season, with the only loss coming in the 2A state championship game.
Surratt did all of it with a bad knee, as he underwent surgery to shave a torn meniscus in his left knee two days after the basketball state title game.
Recruiting service Rivals.com ranks Surratt No. 11 nationally among dual-threat quarterbacks graduating in 2016. Rivals.com also ranks Surratt No. 11 in the state regardless of position.
