IF they truly are separate yet equal the cell phone thing was all I could imagine it being. I know there are ways to mask an IP...but this is just weird.

Clearly. But you got it all figured out anyway? And a static IP just means your IP address always stays the same. Static in no way indicates shared or not. Verizon devices are all IPv6, they would not share the same IP unless they were behind the same gateway node and doing NAT back to an IPv4 address. I mean I guess that's possible, but I doubt they'd go to such lengths just to route your traffic to the Internet. And it's better message board fodder if we just go with you guys being one in the same.

Heelbent, does Rivals track the IP address of the device people are using or the IP address of the router the device is using?

What you just wrote above makes no sense to me. If I have issues, I call people that already know that stuff. I've already shared our connection, if that's not good enough, that's fine.
As I've already said, if having an alternate account is grounds for being banned from the site... I'm fine with the punishment. I don't have one, so rest assured, I'll be hear with bells on. And a tiara. And, maybe something long and light that I can whip around.

I always just assumed it was the router but this has got me befuddled. If she's sitting in his house posting with her phone through his WiFi...I don't have a clue what shows up.

Agreed. I can see the same IP address showing if they are using the same router but according to them they are in different cities.

Today alone I have used my laptop which is on my house cable internet and my phone and iPad which are on both the wifi and Verizon network so look and see what it shows for me today. I have not left the house yet today.
