26-7 doesn't accurately reflect how much of a beatdown that was. Clemson completely and utterly dominated Georgia Tech. Just sheer domination. Wow
Or just one of them. Dexter Lawrence is a BEAST, and he hasn't even been there 8 full months yet. No S&C or redshirt required.
I'd take just one of them and be thrilled. My Open Letter to Lawrence on this board last year said that our program was on the rise to the heights and that he was the THE key recruit. I said that with him anchoring the DL in 2016, we could win the ACC.
1 true dominant DT would make certain everybody else on the DL would have an easier job every down the dominant DT plays.
The difference between their DL and ours is night and day. Clemson is now firmly entrenched as a top 10 football program. Good for them and good for the ACC. I think Sweeney is the best coach in the league, what I wouldn't give to have him as our coach!
Great coach or not, the DL is the difference between Clemson and UNC right now. If you take the DL out of the equation, our team last year was every bit as good as theirs. Obviously, you can't take the DL out of the equation and it's the most important position group in football not named QB.
My point being, if you switched Dabo and Fedora right now, IMO you wouldn't see much of a difference. The DL is the difference-maker.
I agree that the DL is the biggest difference. But I still think Dabo is a significantly better coach, especially in making adjustments during the game. You wouldn't see him pass the ball three times with 1st and goal at the 2 yard line. Not in a million years. Hood would have gotten the ball at least on 1st and 2nd down. IIRC, didn't Fed allow the opposing team to receive the kickoff in both halves of a game last year? That would never happen with Dabo.
oh lordy...carolina would be legit with those guys...a top ten team imo.
