Coach Davis did mention this today about Caleb, which he often mention good things about his players which he should. Caleb can be an offensive juggernaut, but still waiting on his defense to catchup. Hopefully, it will this year, since he has the potentials to be a lock down defender.

This comment was much more than saying good things…..he was very specific…..you guys will just have to accept that Caleb is the leader of this team.
You must have missed it…Caleb defense was excellent this past season. So many time times last season I kept hearing the announcers say “ that’s was great defense by love”. He consistently stays in front of his man…he and leaky are excellent defenders….when the others follow suit….this team will be a great defensive team.

I just hope that Caleb and RJ are on the same page. RJ is quite vocal in his own right.

Thinking back to our 2009 championship team, I often noticed Wayne and Danny teaming up to get the team or an individual player (usually Deon) in gear. That was good to see, and really worked.

Last season, before it was clear that we were going to make that great run, I would sometimes notice that after a sideline huddle, RJ and Caleb would be talking to the players. Different players. I hoped they were pushing the same message, but midseason I sometimes thought they were pushing competing messages. Which can't be a good thing.

I hope they start the season on the same page. And I'd love to see them working in tandem like Danny and Wayne did.
