I think I'll stick with what I know and since most guys tend to cook really well, especially grilling, I will have a little cooking thread to take a break from the crazy on the other threads! <3

I'm spoiled in this regard. Wife is a tremendous cook. I used to be really good and self-sufficient, but I'm relegated to grilling at this point.
As I mentioned on another thread, I love watching/learning new ways to prepare or create dishes.
That video looks like it is an easy thing to prepare. I'm hungry as hell right now because I haven't eaten since breakfast.

I'm blessed with a wonderful cook also. We don't eat out but maybe 2 times a month.
I'm really good at smelling food cooking and then eating it.
With the store I know quite a bit about cooking and baking but it's all book learning, I have no real life experience.
I do most of the cooking at home. I always have. I wish I had taken culinary classes and really learned to cook. It's something I really enjoy and I get what Emeril is talking about when he says "it's a love thing". You have to love it to do it right.
Trust me, if you really love to cook, your family is enjoying some great meals and you will only get better with time.
