It's a four-part series, as noted. One area for each part. And, the program needs more than four things, but we're outliniing aspects of the game not positions.

Agree with the premise. This is hard to define, but they need guys who play their better against quality opponents. Most of the numbers you listed as positives for RJ and Withers were greatly aided by UNC being a bumslayer team this season. The theme of UNC's season were The Bumslayers.

Numbers per Bart Torvik:
RJ Davis vs top 50 opponents: 25% 3PT (20/80)
Elliot Cadeau vs top 50 opponents: 33% 2PT (25/75). Fairness to him, 12/32 (37.5%) from 3PT
Withers vs top 50 opponents: 29.6% 3PT (8/27)
Powell: 28.1% 3PT (9/32)
Washington: Didn't make a 3 vs top 50. If you stretch to top 100 opponents: 18.6% 3PT (3/16).

If it's even possible, Trimble was much worse vs top 50: 22.9% 3PT (8/35)

*San Diego State is ranked outside the top 50. Obviously, that game would make some numbers look much better.

If you're (primarily) "outlining aspects of the game" then I suggest you get someone in your sphere to define the basic premise of the UNC offensive/defensive goals going forward and try to get players that compliment that general direction... providing they actually have defined goals and directions with purpose.
