Daniel Craig Agrees to Another 007 Movie

@BillyL completely agree...i wasn't really sure if i would like him, but i did.

do we know if it's a series of films or just one?...thought i read that the people in charge wanted a multi film commitment.

if not multi films, who would you want to replace?

It was rumored that they were willing to pay him over 100 million to come back, so I'm not surprised.

Good question, G . . Let me ponder that some.

I really like Craig as Bond, Casino Royale and Skyfall are both easily in my top 5 Bond movies. I imagine this might be his last go-round with the character, but I think he's been a great fit.

As for that question, a name that has been talked about a lot that I actually think would be a great Bond is Idris Elba, but I think at this point he'd be too old. He's 5 years younger than Craig, which is fine if you're finishing a run of 5 movies as the character, not if you're starting out. By the time he actually has a Bond movie come out, he would be 50 years old, so I think his window has closed. Some potential options I think could work if he is replaced following this next movie would be Tom Hiddleston or Henry Cavill. Tom Hardy would be a good choice, but he's just slightly younger than Elba. Taron Egerton and John Boyega could be in the running down the road, but they are both a little young to take over following Craig.

$$$$$$$$ he wanted out big time

That is what I believed he wanted as well, can't blame him for that.

Craig is in the film Logan Lucky . . I just saw a trailer for it yesterday. We'll see how that flick does . .

I really want to see Logan Lucky. It's basically a redneck Ocean's Eleven, so that is firmly within my wheelhouse. Craig playing a southern explosions expert named Joe Bang? Sign me up baby.

I'd give Spectre a meh+. It's definitely not as good as CR or Skyfall, but it's not bad. It's an above average Bond movie. However, with Cristoph Waltz as your villain, it should have been a slam dunk awesome Bond movie.
Right? They grossly under-utilized Waltz, IMO.

Wait, what? Has my memory failed me yet again or weren't you the guy who didn't get Bond?

ETA: Nope, memory serves correctly. Whaddup?
No, I don't really "get" the Bond franchise. A lot of it is cheesy, IMO. Some of them are legitimately entertaining, though.

Taron Egerton gets my vote. He was awesome in Kingsman. Plus, he'd be perfect now that they're getting ultra-good looking men to play Bond, starting with Pierce Brosnan. **obligatory no homo**

Can they bring this back too?

Yeah I'm really looking forward to Kingsman 2, the first one was great. Depending on when the recast happens, he could work. He'll be 28 in November, we would probably be at least 2 years out from whatever the next Craig one is (so let's say 2019), at which point he would be 30, and they probably wouldn't make one with a new Bond for approximately another 3 or 4 years or so after that, based on when Brosnan and Craig took over following their predecessors. So if he was to play the role, he'd be about 33/34 when his first Bond movie comes out, which isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I don't know how you people know so many actors by name. I always require "The dude/chick who played ________ in ________." when talking about actors.
