Dez Lawerence....

Let's hope so. If we're going to contend for the division title, they're going to have to be improved, specifically against the run.
Exactly.

We need all the DTs to step up from last year and stay healthy. That is the necessary starting point. Then we need young DEs to show they can come in as reserves and hold their own. Then we need a young LB corps to be ready and to get better with experience.

We don't need DBs to have to stop opponents' running games.

That interception off Trubisky in the spring gm was a beauty. I hope to see one of those vs uga.

I may be wrong but I think our LB play is going to be improved from last year. What we lose in experience will be more than compensated for by increased athleticism and aggressiveness. As you said, it is imperative that our DL stays healthy. More pressure on the QB by our DL's would certainly help as well.

If you are right, then probably the biggest question mark will be the DEs. We are looking pretty good at DT. Naz Jones backed up by Dalton, pretty good. Clarke, Dinkins and Crawford, ought to be decent. Will Mickey Bart show he can defend the run. He's shown he can rush the passer, and will Strowbridge turn out well. Will Drennon be improved and who backs him up? Carney is undersized, and Fox is a freshman.

Wonder if Powell will play some DE this year like he did late last season?
