During a ESPN segment after Capari complained that Kentucky being seeded 4th was a travesty---Dickie V proudly said that Kentucky would meet and beat Xavier to win the east region. The only thing I can come up with is maybe he has been sleeping loud and long for a couple of days because even with his one good eye he had to see what UNC did to Notre Dame and Virginia...

Yeah, but we're not Notre Dame or Vitginia. If the game happens, and you have to think it will, it will come down to our backcourt v. your front court. Should be a great one.

Ahhh... poor dookie V.
ESPN banished him to the SEC Tourney and it was almost pathetic listening to him try to pump up friggin' mediocre UGA as a NCAA Tournament team.

We play like we did in the ACC-T and your over matched and in for a beat down!

There is a distinct reason Dickie calls the SEC tourney instead of the ACC...senility
Love him or hate him, he's no longer relevant.

Well, that's one thing you got right.
Yeah, we're a MUCH better offensive team than those two. If we meet, I think your front court will give us fits, and our backcourt would do the same thing for you. Who knows, maybe our front court and your backcourt both step up big time. You just never know in tournament games.

"best backcourt in the country"... well, guess we should hit up Marcus and JB on Twitter and let em know. Hate to have them bother to show up.
That's not meant as an insult to anyone. Pretty much every analyst in the country recognize Murray and Ulis as the best. Throw Briscoe in there, and yes, we're pretty good.

Very talented players, but... ahh, never mind.
You being a UK fan --- and worse, one who lacks the good sense to stay off a UNC board --- you wouldn't understand anyway.
Good luck with that though.

Typical response. That's why I rarely visit other boards because all you get are smart ass responses. I should've known better.

And do you realize you are on a Carolina board and that Kentucky has its own board? I will give the Kentucky back court credit because they do indeed have loads of talent but are they better than Berry and Paige I would not bet the house on it...

You do realize you are on a UNC board trying to get love for freakin' Kentuck, right?

Actually, no, I wasn't trying to "get love" for Kentucky. I was trying to talk about a potential match up. I said I thought you had the edge in the front court and we had the edge in the backcourt. I have no idea how that could be perceived in any negative manner by anyone.

So is this thread an indication of what it's going to be like for the next couple of weeks? pussycats continuously posting again and again when it's openly clear they're not welcome?

I think the UK fan made a pretty fair and objective point. UK's backcourt is arguably the best in the country. Murray has been averaging 25 a game since Feb 1 (tops in the power 5) and Ulis was the SEC POY and defensive POY. Anyone that thinks we just show up and beat them is crazy. The have multiple 3 point shooters and we all know how those match ups give us problems. Plus, they are long.

Again, I know this is a unc board, but he's really not out of line. Don't become what so many hate about other boards.

But we have the same issue regarding UK that we often do. How much of their offensive efficiency is based on true talent and how much based on that sec gauntlet they have played the last two months? I don't think UK has those same numbers if they have to play games at Uva dook Louisville etc. UK looked good in winning their tournament but they did not face the best of competition. And Ulis and Murray are are a strong backcourt but one that UNC matches up better physically than so many of the conference back courts they have seen. I don't think Murray is that much better than Brogden and Paige did okay on him. Berry has faced some recent points who may not be as athletic as Ulis but they were pretty savvy experienced players

Yes they can. We also have the best backcourt in the country. So there's that.

Boss, I hate to break the bad news to ya but Ky does NOT have the best back court in the country, you have a talented back court for sure but they are not nearly as dangerous as ours, UVa, or duke's in my opinion. You can not really appreciate the strength of that UVa back court until you have to play against it and I feel safe in saying a UVa fan would suggest much the same about our own.

That Ky back court is IMO all about the offensive end of the court but you really have to look at both ends of the court and that is doubly so come tourney time. I feel very good about how our back court locked in on the defensive end for this ACCT as well as the last several games of the regular season. I felt our ACCT final game was worthy of being an NCAAT final game and that could still happen.

I think IU has a great chance to take down Ky even before Ky has a shot at us, better not look past them to us or the only way KY will meet UNC is to shake their hands before Ky has to hop a flight back home. You know that movie where Ky back court catches fire and leads them to an un-expected title? Well, this ain't gonna be that kind of movie boss, sorry but ya may want to hold off another year before ya go out buying NCAAT gear before the fact...

To be fair, UK beat both Louisville and Duke. I'm not saying UK would've won the ACC (and I do think the ACC is stronger the SEC as most objective fans of any fanbase would agree), but we can't say they wouldn't beat teams.....when they beat two of them this year.

FYI, not only was Ulis the SEC POY he was also the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. But I guess his defense is weak. LOL

I think Ulis is pretty good. As is Murray. I would love for Berry to get the chance to matchup against someone Ulis' size, I think he could really shoot over him at that point. Unfortunately I think he's gonna get Yogi Ferrell which isn't a size advantage for him anymore.

Ulis has been the same size all season long and he's still SEC POY, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All American. I love that people are underestimating him. I bet he loves it as well. If we play, you guys might shut him down. On the other hand, he might do just what he's been doing all season. I hope we get to see it.
