Don't be surprised if Kenny Williams plays some at the three this season

After sitting in the lower bowl Sunday and watching the replay today I noticed that Kenny Williams not only can hit the wide open three but the young man also has some solid hops. No he is not a Tokoto or a Vince Carter but there is no doubt he can sky.

There are games every year where UNC is forced to go small to counter their opponent and I could see Kenny at the three. At 6 foot 4, Kenny s/b able to man the three and because of his size and length post smaller people up

Yes I was at the game Sunday and I saw for myself what Williams can do when left wide open around the arc but I see a little Pinson in him where he could help his team win playing either at the two or three.

Agree Dunk, kid is a baller the Heels are fortunate to have.
Had he stayed with his original commit (was it VCU?) or gone to another small-er program he'd probably play either backcourt spot and the three, maybe even some "four"!

Kenny has worked hard and he can be a load at two spots, and depending on personnel he could cause some matchup issues, one match up positive for us may start tomorrow night.

Per Roy he was defensive player of the game vs IU and Roy suggested may be our best back court defender, said it was close between he and Joel, mighty high praise (and highly deserved) if ya ask me.

He has already played several minutes at the 3 --- in every game I believe --- mostly in small line-ups.

Depends on the match ups, can for sure handle it vs teams that are smallish at the wing but vs guys like Gillian for Ky, Tatum for duke, or Bacon for FSU not so much. Granted, he did stone Brogden for Uva last season and Brogden was as good as any wing you will find even if he played mostly at the 2, still not sold on Kenny at the wing much. Don't see him there at all when Theo gets back.

I think KW has been hanging with Jonas...just sayin...big, strong 6'4"...and he can get up...

Oh, if he and Theo are in together Kenny would be the 2 for sure but he's also very capable of defending the 3 when needed. which makes him bonus valuable. And remember the 2 and 3 are interchangeable in our transition game and offensive continuities (with the exception of the.2 having floor-balance responsibilities). The difference shows in set plays and defensive match-ups.
