Don't look now, but N. Iowa...

is taking it to #5 Iowa St. early.
II saw that. A win for UNI would help us out in the RPI spot. I know it doesn't matter, and I shouldn't obsess about this stuff, but with #9 Purdue going down against # 17 Butler, and with Dook and UK both taking their second loss, and UNC beating a team that handled UK..... I wonder if we can leap these three teams in Monday's poll. I noticed our RPI is still #3 in the country.

And - this is getting ahead of myself.... but in looking at the schedule..... there is a possibility we could go through rest of December and January (and maybe mid Feb) without losing. Not saying we will, but we should beat everyone in front of us, if we play at 80-90% even of our capabilities, and bring it on defense each night. Not worried about our offense.

The only teams that really worry me on the schedule as I look at it now are @UVA, @Miami, and how they'll find a way to screw us over in HIS. I know - take it one game at a time.....

Saw that Louisville's main big broke his foot and is out 6-8 weeks. That's a tough setback for them......

Hey now... don't jinx it!...
But yeah, polls and RPI are important, like it or not. An NIU win would be very good in more ways than one.
UCLA is legit, and hopefully we'll get rewarded Monday.

They have some bad losses but two outstanding wins. This was a true road game at ISU as well. It will certainly help the RPI.

I'm all for the RPI improving, better seed yadayada....
But, if the Heels consistently play like they did in the 2nd half today then they'll make their own destiny.
As good teams most always do.

ISU had a guy out but it was their fifth leading scorer. Niang is their best player and leader.
