I don't know how much they will match up, but the key to winning is Drake Powell matching Cooper Flagg's stats Saturday.

I am pointing out Powell because he has been playing great lately, and looks to be flirting with having a break out game.

Everyone still needs to do there job, and It would be nice if EC controlled his turnovers this game, and had a double digit assist game.

We can rotate multiple players on that stinking pukie! Drake, JWit, Seth all will most likely get a turn. We will definitely have to bring our A+ game and maximum intensity for the entire game to have a shot!

If EC, Ian, and JWash play at their most effective and we get the usual from RJ, Seth, Lubin, JWit we are in good shape! I never enter a contest thinking the Tar Heels would accept any kind of moral victory but a competitive loss might be beneficial this year!

Beat puke and win one in the ACC and let the ships fall where they may!

Go Heels!

In a perfect world I would agree but we all know pukies are foul magnets for some unknown reason so JWit already has 2 fouls! We will have to rotate: Drake starts on Nipples; JWit on Colonel; Lubs on Malware; -Seth comes in to help shut down the hot hand; Rotate: Drake on Colonel; Seth on Nipples; Ian on Evans, etc!

Fresh bodies with more fouls to withstand the inevitable 8 on 5 issues!

Personally prefer Flagg to get 20+ shot attempts and 3 or fewer assists. Duke is a really good team. I would prefer that real good team becoming overly reliant on an individual player.

Flagg is absolutely capable of going for 30 with 2 assists and leading Duke to a win. But I would prefer that gameplan over Flagg going for 20 pts/7 assists plus a few hockey assists where his all around impact is 45 points.

But he seems to have the basketball IQ to not let himself do that too. Great test and a great opportunity.

Flagg seems to have a high basketball IQ, I think a player like Powell and what he is capable of doing offensively could put Flagg in foul trouble.

Although I haven't seen it for a full 40 minutes Powell can drive and finish at the rim. Seth can also, but with his height he struggles finishing at the rim to me. I think we have to draw fouls on Dook.

I heard the other day that Flagg has had 30 assists to 3 TO's over the last 6 games. That's a 10:1 ratio from a 6'8" forward who can hit from deep. If those numbers are true that just ain't fair.

If k was still coaching dook they win by 40 in south jersey - freshmen and sophs just don't that same investment in THE rivalry. When dook was up by 25/30 they just played like they were bored. They are a terrible match-up for UNC this season, NBA size at every position. I believe Withers is key - he has the size and athleticism to put on Flagg but he cannot pick up dumb fouls.

Not gonna lie, their defense is scary with the size they put on the court. UNC has to be able to get into transition and score off the secondary, I don't see a lot of good things happening in half court sets.

It's a conundrum. I don't think an extremely fast pace necessarily favors UNC. I think Duke is more than capable of running and playing in transition. They destroyed Illinois, who tries to play just as fast as UNC and that game was over by the under 8 1H timeout. But, UNC probably doesn't win a half court game against Duke's set defense.

I do think UNC has to muddy up the game a little bit. They need to ruin the flow of the game by getting to the free throw line. I don't think the occasional flagrant foul review (without a UNC player getting ejected) or other replay will hurt either. If this is a rhythm game, then I think Duke becomes really hard to beat.

Really interested to see who Hubert plays and how much. This is a game he plays the players he trusts. Cade has height though so will he still get minutes?

Also interested to see the game plan for Maluach. In some capacity, they need to get him away from the basket. Does that mean Washington plays more? But does Hubert trust Washington in a game like this?

Lot of interesting little details. Looking forward to seeing what happens.
