Pretty cool moment about 10 minutes before the game started. Fed was toward the end of the parade of football recruits that walked in from the tunnel opposite of UNC's bench, and as he entered the tunnel the BB Heels run out of, SID Steve Kirschner got his attention and brought Fed over to the bench where Roy was sitting, Fed sat down and they had a pretty good chat - lots of laughing and smiling - before Fed left to rejoin the recruits, etc.
It wasn't like Roy and Fed had to talk about anything and had missed each other all day, it was clearly a moment to give Fed a status-play with the very well-known HC of the hoops team, which was designed to impress the recruits.
This was pretty cool because it was a small example of how things are done. The slightest little edges count and are to be taken advantage of.
I can assure you Roy cares deeply about the FB program, and him taking this minute just moments before tipoff of such a huge game is an example of that.
