Never liked him much but he's earned a special place from this Tar Heel. That state has given us plenty of quality kids and quality players and now they beat Dook.

Deep down inside the man has a good heart, but he can rub people the wrong way at times.

I get that sense. He will go to war for his kids and they rally around that but that type of intensity can be a lot for an outside observer. Good for him, his boys and his program.

He's a minority that had to fight and sweat to get where he is today, and 90% of his kids are the same.

Hard to root against guys like him.

He's an "old-school" disciplinarian.
Not every kid can, or should want to play for a guy like Frank

Yeah with Dozier and Lauri it would not be close, we'd be almost too stacked. Did the scandal play a role with those two or did they simply choose to go elsewhere? Just asking because I know you're well connected recruiting-wise.

It's not always the coach who lands the kid who is doing the negative recruiting. School A can badmouth UNC and push us out of the picture. School B could have been the recruit's second choice behind UNC and their HC does not have to recruit negatively, it's already been done.
