How are the roads? We got 8 inches of snow in Martinsville. Any chance it gets postponed. Not just getting there but getting back with really cold temps after the game.

Correct. They need to play the game if possible. In all honesty, a couple inches of snow shouldn't prevent anyone from getting to the game if they really want to go.

Entirely different scenario but the ACC Tourney was played during the blizzard of '93. Far different in that all teams and officials were already in Charlotte.
I've done some interesting "down and backs" to and fro games in this weather, doable in the right vehicle.

8 hrs to tip, crews already on the main roads and setting up campus as best they can...and some folks would let a little snow or cold threaten a trip to support UNC. My trip takes me through 6"-10" all the way there...of course I love my Subaru!
