Cloutier has sealed his place in UNC and NCAA LAX history with a record-breaking Championship weekend, scoring 14 Goals in 2 games! And our defense really stepped up, closing out Mary-land scoreless from 7:48 left in the 4th quarter all the way to Cloutier's game winner in OT.

Mary-land won 8 more faceoffs, 11 more ground balls and had 6 more shots but Balkam had 13 big saves including a HUGE save in Overtime to give us the chance for the Win!

Man what a great weekend for the Tar Heels!

I swear our win today reminded me of how Dean Smith's teams used to do Ol' Lefty Driesell back in a day..... Let Lefty think his guys were actually gonna win it but then beat them with a last second shot or in overtime. Man it drove Lefty crazy!

Unless I misheard, one of the announcers said UNC was the only Lacrosse team in NCAA Tourney history to enter the tournament unseeded and then WIN IT ALL, BABY!! I paraphrased here a little. My Tar Heel blood made me do it.
