UNC and Dook both go 1-1 on the week.

UNC drops two spots for losing by 1 and winning by 25 against the ACC co-leader

Dook moves up 5 spots for winning by 1 and losing by 8 to Louisville

ESPN never fails to amaze me

I'm never gonna back ESPN in pretty much anything.

But to be fair our loss was at home to #20, theirs was on the road against #18. Our win was at home against #11, theirs was on the road against #5.

I think we're about properly ranked at this point, however I will say that the doochies are a few spots higher than they probably deserve at this point, but what else is new?

I have no problem with the rankings. It's very simple. If they win the remaining ACC games they will have a #1 seed locked up. Must beat NC State and Virginia on the road this week.

I look at the rankings and lunardi's bracketology each week but in all reality to me none of that really matters. This team has shown that if they play their best basketball they can win 6 games in March/April and if they don't then sweet 16 maybe at best... That is what matters to me

my feelings exactly. if this team fulfills its potential they will bring home the national championship. if they underachieve, which they have for most of this season, they won't. we'll see...

Careful there Jimmy, there's more to winning a natty than fulfilling potential.
Heck of a lot of potential filled teams were brought down by bad luck, bad decisions or bad fouls (F$%k Cretin!!)

Well the brackets certainly matter in the path to a Natty. Regardless of how weak the teams are that you play, a title is a title (just look at dook in'10). A 1 seed will significantly increase your odds to play weaker teams.

That said, Loonardi just put us up on the 1 line and dropped the Hoos to a 2 seed.

So if we switch seeds with UVa isn't that essentially saying we are the 4th and 5th best teams? Wouldn't the last 1 seed be in same bracket as first 2 seed?
