PS I don't know how to post videos but ESPN has it on their page. Can anyone help?

Didn't watch the game, but just watched the clip on ESPN. Typical doochie... wouldn't expect anything less.

I do have to wonder - how does it seem like all these dookies act like such little bitches with their flopping, leg kicks, head whips, etc. I mean, it can't ALL be coincidence, can it? This HAS to be taught behaviours, or it is understand that when you suit up for dook, you must act like a punk?

That is dook transition defense. Winslow did the same thing at UVA last season. You are on the floor so the other team will have numbers. Dirty basketball that happens too often not to be encouraged

See my post in the the other thread. Dook players like this jerk are basically jerks to begin with..but K gets them molds them , TEACHES them the ugly side of basketball, and churns them out over and over and over again. Total jerk, classless and just another product from the "leader of men"

It is certainly interesting that they have these guys so frequently. I'm sure it is just coincidence. It is odd that K didn't take him out. I can't imagine if one of our guys did that Roy would leave him in. He has always put winning above anything else. You have to give him that.

Ejection and/or suspension is the only way to deal with this crap.
What if someone gets tripped and tears their ACL because of it?
Coach K would say they shouldn't have been out there or some
Lame justification.

It is absolutely taught... and that is NOT speculation. K literally rewards players for getting away with what he himself calls "asshole" stuff.

Yeah it's ****ing dirty, like you said it could easily lead to an injury and there's just no room for that.

So sorry, it seems you lack the intelligence to be able to post on a Tar Heel site. Try again please after 10,000 years.

Out of curiosity, did K say anything about it after the game?

They take on the personality of their coach... What do you expect? Every year you see entitled, arrogant players on Dook.

Does Grayson look or seem like s guy who has an NBA game? He seems like the little annoying high school nerd kids picked on for being such a dbag or a kid that is just a middle of the road pickup game player. Granted - he can shoot college 3s. That's it. No defender, zero strength, the ONLY time he gets anything driving to the hoop is when he flops and flails and gets bailed out. Exactly like Tyus Jones. Remember him?

I bring up jones and Allen together because both relied on the same little punk tactics to get away with crap at the college level under the teaching and intimidation of Rat. Stuff that is useless in the NBA

Some announcers with a crush on all things dook talk about Allen as an NBA guy. Funny. I hated Tyus jones but Allen probably isn't half the player Jones was. And jones can't get on the court at all for a bottom 3 team in the NBA (wolves)

Here is the YouTube video of Grayson Allen tripping the Louisville player......

K the leader of men...how disgusting....

It's all part of the "code"....Suliamon's mom mentioned this when he got kicked out of Duke. Someday a former Duke player will write a book and make millions. Jay Williams mentions a few things in his book but nothing about the flopping. He did say in this book that K convinced him to not go to the NBA after his sophomore year when he was the consensus #1 pick in the draft.

JWill ended up graduating in 3 years, got his jersey retired, and was the #2 pick in the draft (behind Yao Ming). I am surprised he broke the code and mentioned the K thing in his book. Duke players know not to the break the code. That's why there has been so few leaks over the years because Coach K spends so much time conditioning them to keep the code. Even transfers keep their mouths shut. Thank goodness.

I never know what the ACC and NCAA are so scared of Duke. Intentionally tripping and kicking players, not ejection. However, one our football players runs into a dookie pre-snap and he gets a one game suspension. John Swofford and the ACC office is a damn joke. Got to be one of the dirtiest programs on and off the court. He is not a leader of man. K is a punk, always has been, always will be. He sold his soul to the devil and one day he is going to come a calling. Just a pure scum bag.

Did Vader even THINK about holding out Allen for a play or two? I strongly believe MOST coaches would have... I KNOW Roy would have after one of his players got a flagrant 1.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the leader of men put this jerk right back in and the reaction from the cult followers is predictable " What is all the fuss about " they say

BTW, these clueless twits have NO friggin idea how or WHY this Allen is so loathed.

Could it be his non stop Flopping ,flailing, BS acting and now flagrant tripping???? Nah it is because he is WHITE and scores a lot according to the dolts that populate that fan base.

Sad thing is there was a douche bag ref standing right there and they had to go to the monitor.

Well of course this is taught by that duke coaching staff, other wise every single guard they get would not display such a total lack of sportsmanship. They are absolutely taught to break the rules and look innocent while doing so. Do we even have the term FLOP in our vocabulary if not for duke and their coach?

I've been reading a lot of everyone's posts for several years now without posting anything of my own, but I thought this story was too funny not to share. After I finished reading this thread I went over to espn and find this article on the homepage.

Only dspn could try to make being a douchebag seem like it's a good, respectable thing to be.

How about there is no place in college basketball for players trying to hurt other players or officials?

The whole play embodied dook and Allen to a T. He drove the lane and was expecting to be bailed out by the refs as he flailed and threw up an off balance shot trying to buy a foul. Then after that disgusting display, he one ups himself and trips an opponent intentionally to prevent a fast break.

Woulda liked to see the Louisville player walk over to him and "Laettner Stomp" him to send him a message that crap has got to go.

Thanks for sharing. Lots of fail in this article, lots of vomit-inducing statements, lots of false statements and faulty assumptions and premises. A fair amount of racist inuendos: what does white / black have to do with it? people hated Winslow, Henderthug, Sheldon Williams, Carawell, Duhon, Dantay jones, etc enough.

And its not about them being good. Or being white. Its about being part of a program of dbags and aholes, from every coach to every fan to most every player. They revel in it. They wear it as a badge of honor. That's what makes them hated.

There are plenty of black players and white players who are WAY better than any Dookie and way more accomplished, that the general sporting population doesn't hate. They respect other kids / programs because these other players play and act in a way worthy of respect. Dook and respect should never be used in the same sentence.

A couple hilarious lines from the article:
GAllen as a high flying dunk machine. Um, OK. Who can't dunk, as a D1 player? I haven't seen him dunk except on wide open breatk aways....
GAllen led Dook to last year's title: OK, he had ONE GAME where he was given the favored "we'll buy your initiate-contact-and flop" BS. Other than that, I don't recall him even being a factor, especially compared to Jokeafor and TJones.

If you read this article and still don't get how in love DSPN is with Dook, nothing will change you. They turn earning a rightly earned reputation as a hated, DISRESPECTED program (coaches, players, fans) - into something that Dook I guess is supposed to be proud of....because "white", because "rich", because "smarter", because "talent". BS to all of these faulty reasons

Except the Louisville player would've gotten ejected, unlike any dookie ever.

Tremendous post Heelicious

This DSPN article misses the point... race has ZERO to do with it . Rather, it the complete utter ahole nature of the dook program, LED by Vader, That turns so many against them .Their arrogant holier than thou BS and dirty on the court play has gone on for thirty plus years. Add in the corruption and lack of ANY investigation into THEIR dirty laundry( Lance Thomas) and you get a bunch of first class totally hate able JERKS led by the biggest phony in all of sports... Vader himself.

The BEST part about this silly article was the quote from another dook punk... Wnslow, who said Vader's favorite word to describe Allen was..............

AHOLE.

Isn't that great coming from your head coach??? These people all deserve each other. What a group of d bags.

I also liked the part where they referred to the Cameron goofballs as "clever and witty, instead of vile and nasty." I guess they've never actually been to one of the games.

Right. Great follow ups - Kayser and 0910.

I really don't like watching games on TV that are Cameron....too much affection from DSPN given to the "Cameron Crazies" - a group that merits zero respect.

But, given what Louisville is now on self-imposed sanctions for, I'd be surprised if "clever and witty" dbag fans didn't make some nasty comments about the whole "recruiting" process at Louisville. Vile and nasty - classless.

(OT - if there is any group of players/recruits who NEED the sort of "help/recruiting benefits" that the Louisville recruits got.... it is most certainly the Dookies. I can't see them "scoring" on their own.)

Remember those Michigan warm-ups and fan t-shirts a couple years ago that said

"WE ON"....

Dook players and fans should get ones that say: "WE WITTY".....or "WE AHOLES"

Do you think UNC fans hate Duke more than non-UNC fans?

That play, the fans' reaction, and the L.O.M.'s failure to pull Allen for it all epitomize why everyone but dook fans hate the dook program. They revel in their douchebaggery.

Yes.
But that extra hate is due to the legit on court rivalry of programs with success so close to each other in distance and in accomplishments. And, hence the Heels fans follow and interact with Dook, more than, say, a UK, or UCLA, or Kansas fan would follow Dook.

So, not as much hatred from non-UNC fans.... but I challenge you to find general knowledgable fans from other programs that respect "the program" and image built and portrayed by Rat, the players, and the fans... they get the respect they deserve.... approximately zero.

Probably. Similar to what Heelicious said above. However that doesn't mean that the hate isn't there from non-UNC fans. I live in the northeast, far enough away from Durham and Chapel Hill where, all else being the same - you would figure a random person wouldn't have allegiance to one or the other. When it comes up in conversation with someone that has the faintest knowledge of college basketball that I'm a UNC alum, the most frequent response I get is along the lines of "Oh nice, ya I hate those douchebags at Duke"
