I picked up a dozen apple cider donuts from Stowe, VT on my way back from Montreal earlier in the week - I guess I celebrated a little early. They were really good.
The real reason for that pit stop was to pick-up Heady Topper straight from the source. If anyone doesn't know what that is, GFY.

Luvs me some donuts, but, rarely ever treat myself to that pleasure any more . . same as ice cream.
There's a donut/bread shop not too far away that has the best dayum apple fritters that I have ever had. I might get one of those a couple times a year . .
I will usually stop at KK on the way to church and grab a dozen assorted for the coffee/tea bar in the church lobby . . and KK has some cookie donuts out now that I'm told are pretty good, there's an oreo donut and a nutter butter donut that sell very nicely for them.

Yes! One of those opened up right across the street from me about a year ago, and it's so hard to stay away.
