Hard headed roy

I don't criticize Roy at all but this was on him. UNC should have beat this duke team by 20. They are NOT good. This is concerning.
Roy lost us this game bottom line he sucked and he has sucked a lot in big games recently. We have given dook no less than 4 wins in the last 5 years due to the same bullshit. Dominate game in key stretches, then start ****ing around with lineups and then dook gets hot enough at the end to steal one.
I usually do not get on Roy but this was clearly a coaching fiasco. NO EXCUSE for not calling a TO with 13 seconds left and set up an easy play for Brice down low
This game was on Paige, Berry, Britt and Jackson. Sorry. 1 for 100000 for three? Are you kidding me? Make a freakin shot.
13 seconds? We needed a timeout with 2 minutes left! We were jacking up garbage and playing terrible one on one crap in the halfcourt from the moment we got back from the tv timeout. Someone needed to calm them down - now someone needs to calm ME down. What a dumpster fire
As I have said many times, few of these coaches are the geniuses many make them out to be. Roy proved that this evening. Duke had no answer for Johnson. Yet the whole second half seemed to be an effort to get Marcus's jump shot back on track, or for Berry to take some wild shot with the clock running down. Now I love Roy as much as anybody, but the blame for this one falls squarely at Roy's feet. Regardless, while I was truly hoping for a shot at a NC this year, I just don't see it happening. Not sure defensively they could stop a good high school team. Same old problems. This team runs great, but has a severe lack of lateral quickness to stop anyone. This team has the talent to go far, but they will have to be red hot on the offensive end to do it. If folks didn't already know, all you have to do is spread them out and drive.
You want 3 pt shooters do like K and bring in a couple of 6 foot white kids that can shoot the rock like it is a lay up. They are out there all across America and take pride in their shooting ability and I wish Roy would bring one in every year.
Roy, thanks for the 2 NCAA Titles. You're ready to retire now. You're bringing the program down. Your teams look like a shadow of what they once were.

Would have won with Robinson coaching. Roy has done so bad with this team.
I been a fan since the 70's when Phil Ford ran the four corners. I'm sick of these dumb losses to bad teams. Same prescription year after year. Just think we can do better but it ain't happening as long as things stay the same. We may win a few more games but I doubt we win the regular season and ACCT is not high on Roy's priorities. This is just dumb.
No they are not out there. Shooting is a lost are among elite players. There are very few "pure" shooters to be had who can play at the high D1 level, where athleticism is a premium. Unfortunately, the few sharpshooters who are out there end up going to dook because that's the kind of players they feature in their offense.
And they go to mid majors...therefore,we should be landing some of these kids because we have become a high mid major school with the type of recruits we are bringing in !!
I'm really torn because I love Roy what he stands fir his love for the program his love for Dean his class everything about him but this is getting old!
So.... that just absolutely sucked! Sucked! Sucked! I want to say so much and blame so many people right now. But the truth is it was all my fault. I couldn't fine my lucky Tar Heel socks anywhere!!!!!! Oh well and oh yeah one other thing...

Well, one thing is for sure..... at least all these players know, at end of the game, or when in trouble, Roy "leads" by implying "you're all on your own. You're in a tough situation on the court? Don't know what to do or what to run? Figure it out on your own."
Wow - what an inspirational leader mindset to have.
I get that having that attitude can work for getting experience in a pressure situation when you have no timeouts, etc..... but the timeouts are given to teams for a reason.
If you're not going to help your guys out, lead, instruct them, especially when they look out of sync, then what exactly are you doing as a coach? Yelling at them to try harder? How would we have been any worse / any different if Roy was in the locker room the last 10 minutes, especially the last 4?
and why is he the head coach if he does no coaching at crunch time? Is his value as a coach rolling out guys like Luke Maye and Joel James to keep the other team in the game? I think he recruits his butt off, but like someone else said, it seems virtually any other D1 coach could've done a better job of exploiting our advantages of Brice over Plumlee.
