Well, one thing is for sure..... at least all these players know, at end of the game, or when in trouble, Roy "leads" by implying "you're all on your own. You're in a tough situation on the court? Don't know what to do or what to run? Figure it out on your own."
Wow - what an inspirational leader mindset to have.
I get that having that attitude can work for getting experience in a pressure situation when you have no timeouts, etc..... but the timeouts are given to teams for a reason.
If you're not going to help your guys out, lead, instruct them, especially when they look out of sync, then what exactly are you doing as a coach? Yelling at them to try harder? How would we have been any worse / any different if Roy was in the locker room the last 10 minutes, especially the last 4?
and why is he the head coach if he does no coaching at crunch time? Is his value as a coach rolling out guys like Luke Maye and Joel James to keep the other team in the game? I think he recruits his butt off, but like someone else said, it seems virtually any other D1 coach could've done a better job of exploiting our advantages of Brice over Plumlee.
