Popp is an amazing coach and an even better person. He teamed up with Roy Williams to save Danny Green's pro career when he originally washed out of the NBA. Not really a surprise considering he took a sabbatical from coaching just to go to Chapel Hill and learn under Dean Smith. There isn't a coach in the modern NBA I'd rather see my Tar Heels play for.
