Yep; I don't give two shits about it. But MM is outstanding! My girlfriend is ALL ABOUT this fuggin wedding.
Why do Americans care about English royalty? I genuinely don't understand. Would for sure on MM though.
My girlfriend is ALL ABOUT this fuggin wedding.
Both are top shelf, but I'd go with MM.Who did better?
William?
Or Harry?
Both are top shelf, but I'd go with MM.
If MM is a "f***" and Kate is a "marry" then who do we get to kill?Hmmm, I don't know. One night stand, I think I agree. But Kate is more the marrying type.

Ouch, ouch, ouch, OUCH!Camilla
Juuuussst a bit outside.
Also I saw this thing on Twitter where someone (maybe a person, maybe a foundation, idk) said something to the effect of "Harry and Meghan's wedding gives black women everywhere 'hope.'" (they put the word hope in single quotations, dunno why.)Yep; I don't give two shits about it. But MM is outstanding!
Was it from an American twitter account? Apparently there are a lot of people in England who have a big problem with her because she's not 100% white. They feel like she's messing up the royal line. If it was from someone in England, I could understand why they might feel like they have hope now. Also I saw this thing on Twitter where someone (maybe a person, maybe a foundation, idk) said something to the effect of "Harry and Meghan's wedding gives black women everywhere 'hope.'" Ehhhhh, I mean 1). why does it give them 'hope' and why didn't they have 'hope' before? 2) let's be real grownups for a second.... she's a halfy, so does it really?
You may find my 2nd point preposterous, but I find such blanket statements as "this gives black women 'hope'" as equally preposterous. Like... Prince Harry didn't find MM at a random coffee shop in London. They met because they were both already super famous. You can't extrapolate anything about their relationship to the rest of society.
Not sure. Just spent 15 minutes trying to find it again on my timeline but couldn't.Was it from an American twitter account? It's interesting how open a lot of the media are about it. Some of the newspapers over there have had some interesting headlines. Obviously they don't come out and say this black chick needs to go, but they will say things like "exotic" and one paper even describe her mom as being "almost straight outta Compton."The racist Brits can take solace in the fact that Harry is essentially a nobody in the royal family. He’ll never be anything other than “the king’s brother”.
I never even knew her mother was black. Harry is a ginger. That will be an interesting genetic mix! It's interesting how open a lot of the media are about it. ..........did you just think she was really tan?I never even knew her mother was black. Harry is a ginger. That will be an interesting genetic mix!

She has been in the show "Suits" for the past like 7 years, and it's one of the more popular shows on TV that isn't on ABC/CBS/Fox/NBC. In said show, they explicitly explain that she's half black lol.I did. I just learned of her half blackness too. I mean, I knew she wasn’t of the same heritage as Harry, but I had her pegged as half Spanish or something. I didn’t even know she was American until a few days ago. People seem stunned when I’ve told them all of this recently. Am I supposed to have known who she is? Is she famous or something (outside of being engaged to royalty)?

Like if I said Barack Obama, Austin Rivers, Steph Curry, Lonzo Ball, etc. were white people would balk at that big time. When in reality they're just as much white as they are black, so calling them either of those would be just as (in)correct as the other.
Exactly. This was my point above when I said does it really give black women 'hope?'One thing I find to be incredibly racist is that if someone has any black in them at all, they're referred to as being black. Like something out of the antebellum days, as if having any black in them at all poisons or stains whatever else they have in them.
Tiger has always stated "I'm not black. I'm multi-racial." FWIW.I've also never understood this.
Tiger Woods is one that always got me. People are always like "oh why aren't there more black golfers cuz of Tiger." Well, Tiger's like 15% black.
I just call them Cam Johnson. One thing I find to be incredibly racist is that if someone has any black in them at all, they're referred to as being black. Like something out of the antebellum days, as if having any black in them at all poisons or stains whatever else they have in them.

I, like others, didn't know she was part black. Granted, I have no idea who she is and have barely seen pictures of her, so that's my excuse. But if you look at her, she looks white (yes, tan, but that could easily be Spanish/Italian or whatever).
