• CAROLINA advances to the third round of the West Regional with a 67-65 win over Harvard. Justin Jackson scored the game-winning basket with 24 seconds to play and the Crimson missed three three-point attempts in the final 16 seconds.
• CAROLINA's win marked the 25th time in as many NCAA Tournament appearances that Roy Williams's teams won their first game. His teams have never played in the NCAA Tournament without winning at least one game. That is the longest streak in the history of the NCAA Tournament. Adolph Rupp is second with at least one win in his first 13 Tournaments.
• CAROLINA won its 25th game of the season. That is the 35th 25-win season in UNC history and eighth in the last 11 seasons under head coach Roy Williams.
• CAROLINA is now 111-43 in 46 NCAA Tournaments, including 30-8 under head coach Roy Williams.
• WILLIAMS is third in NCAA Tournament victories with 64, one behind Dean Smith. Mike Krzyzewski has 82 entering this year's Tournament.
• Tonight's game was the 86th NCAA Tournament in Williams' career. His teams are now 64-22, including 30-8 at UNC. The 86 games are third-most behind Mike Krzyzewski's 108 and Dean Smith's 92.
• WILLIAMS all-time record is now 749-201 overall and 331-100 at Carolina.
• JUSTIN JACKSON led Carolina in scoring with 14 points. That was the fifth time he has led UNC in scoring. He also did it against Clemson (13), Virginia Tech (16), NC State (16) and Virginia (22). The Tar Heels are 4-1 when Jackson leads the team in scoring.
• Harvard took its only lead of the game at 65-63 on a four-point play by Siyani Chambers with 1:15 to play. That capped a 31-13 run by Harvard since UNC's largest lead at 50-34. JACKSON scored 11 seconds later on a floater to tie the game at 65.
• That was the second four-point play by an opponent this year (also by Ralston Turner at NC State).
• CAROLINA shot 55.1 percent from the floor, including 56.0% in the first half and 54.2% in the second.
• CAROLINA'S field goal percentage of .551 is its best in 22 NCAA Tournament games since the Tar Heels shot 67.7 percent against Arkansas in the 2008 round of 32 in Raleigh.
• CAROLINA has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in the second half in eight consecutive games. Tonight 18th time in 36 games this year the Tar Heels shot 50 percent or better in the second half.
• CAROLINA has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in six of the last seven halves dating back to the second half of the win over Louisville in the ACC Quarterfinals (.500 in 2nd vs. Louisville, .524 and .571 vs. Virginia, .576 in second half vs. Notre Dame, and .560 and .542 vs. Harvard).
• MARCUS PAIGE went 2 for 4 from three-point range. He is now 219 for 579 in his career from beyond the arc. Paige passed Shammond Williams tonight for the most three-point attempts in UNC history (Williams attempted 578 in four seasons). Paige is still fifth all-time at UNC in three-pointers made with 219.
• PAIGE has made 88 three-pointers this season, which ties Reggie Bullock for the third-most in UNC single-season history. Shammond Williams made a school-record 95 in 1997 and P.J. Hairston made 89 in 2013. Bullock also made 88 in 2013.
• KENNEDY MEEKS scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. It was the 22nd time this year Meeks scored in double figures, but the first time in seven games since he had 12 vs. NC State on 2/24.
• HARVARD scored 29 points off UNC's 17 turnovers. The 29 points are the most scored against UNC this season (UCLA, Kentucky and Virginia in the ACC semifinals all scored 24 ­ - the Tar Heels won all but the Kentucky game.
• The 23-point spread between points off turnovers (29 by Harvard, 6 by Carolina) is the largest against UNC this year. Syracuse scored 21 points off turnovers to only five for the Tar Heels (-16) in a UNC win in late January.
• HARVARD'S seven turnovers equal the fifth-fewest by an opponent in Carolina's 154 NCAA Tournament games and the fewest since Michigan State had five in the 1998 regional semifinal.
• CAROLINA is now 3-2 against Harvard. It was UNC's first win over Harvard since 12/27/71.
• CAROLINA advances to play either Arkansas or Wofford. The Tar Heels are 4-3 all-time against Arkansas and 2-0 vs. Wofford. UNC's last game vs. Arkansas was in the 2008 NCAA Tournament round of 32 in Raleigh, a 108-77 Tar Heel victory. UNC and the Razorbacks have split four previous meetings in NCAA play. The Tar Heels have not played Wofford since 1/14/1926.
