IMO, PJ would get 30 MPG from the git go. He's simply that good. I think Huffman would back up Tony at center and Stokes/Brooks would get a few MPG at the four, initially. I don't think PT would be an issue for PJ at all.
Berry/Woods
Felton
Knox
PJ
Bradley
would be absolutely insane!
I agree on Stokes, There is just no buzz for UNC with Stokes,Quite a few ways this can go now.
Brooks visits on Oct 7th. Stokes visits on Nov. 11th. PJ's final visit is on October 28th.
IMO, This might just become a first commit, first taken type of deal. In that case, I'd hope PJ decides to commit in the fall period vs the spring. That way, there'd be no doubt we went all in for him.
There's no way PJ comes to UNC with Stokes, Brooks, and Huffman on board. But I don't even think Stokes ends up at UNC, tbh. The way he set up the visits to UT, ISU, Florida, and TCU, felt like he just squeezed us in at the last minute. Wouldn't even be surprised if he pulls a Weatherspoon and cancels.
Brooks/Washington/Huffman would be the best case scenario. And it'd give us time to focus the rest of our attention on Knox and the 2018 class.
Either way, Glad to have him on board. Hope to see big things from him.

Maybe the talk about Carolina CANNOT get a big man will take a welcomed break from here for a while...
Just seems a bit of overkill to take 4 bigs in one class IMHO. This class had a fairly bigger talent dip from elite players to mid-rank player compared to last year's.
Nah man. You know how the haters work. They'll move on to UNC being unable to land top ranked big guys anymore. (Bradley who??)
Hopefully PJ dispels that myth once and for all.
For a team that hasnt had a Center in a while that dunks on people this is a great get. I am excited to have someone that is 6'9" and CAN dunk in a game instead of the 6'9" king of the up and under, double pump, fadeaway layup...that get blocked by 6'3" PF from Notre Dame. And to top it off, this kid is not a twig. He has A LOT of potential in a program that breeds big men. Cant wait to see what the strength and conditioning program does with his frame. He could be a big time player by his soph year. Great job. I dont care who we MIGHT get, I am more excited for who we HAVE got!
EXACTLY!!!!
A big man that gets above the rim easily and does not need to get double digit rebounds because he rebounds 9 of his own misses in a 5min span! YES!
I really think this kid is a player, I know many don't agree but this kid has good size and a ready to play body. This kid does snot need to lose 30lbs just to be able to get up and down the court for 5mins. Kid does not need to add 30lbs so the wind does not blow him away. he dies need to work on and refine finishing moves, jump hook and step thru and this kid is a factor. I like him more than many of the higher ranked guys, kid has some grit, a lil bit of nasty to his game. You guys are going to love this kid 2 years from now much more than you like his commit today!
Well, to be fair the discussion about getting a big man is about getting top ranked big men (I get we got Bradley). It was never really about getting guys like Huffman, who I have no issues with. I don't think anyone has ever doubted UNC could offer lower ranked guys and pull them in. I have absolutely no issues with Roy and recruiting either, nor have I been critical of who he has offered or landed. Just kind of stating that this really does little to quiet those with that particular question, though I've never really heard it state quite that way anyway. Most of the criticism I've read has been regarding getting the very elite guys at any position. I find the criticism understandable but a little unnecessary as well. Let's see what happens the next couple of years now that the academic stuff is about to be behind us.
WITHOUT dogging a current player, I agree. This is a reel of Huffman at Pangos.

To be fair, Ayton and Carter were pretty much decided from the jump. Bamba is an enigma, but he seems to be drinking the Slimeade. We are in the hunt for 3 elite 3/4s who all have the size or strength to be 5s in a small lineup. We could still get Knox, PJ, or Vanderbilt (very slim)
If we add any of those three to Huffman and Brooks, Stokes (slipping I think) or Manley-UNC is in awesome shape!
Roy is the freakin' man!
Exactly. Thanks for mentioning that. Look at the other names Huffman is on that roster with, and the others he beat out below him. A lot of folks have said they wanted to see what he could do against better competition this year at WoG. Well there's an early look. He'll be a 4* by the end of the season, and rightfully so. No offense to Kennedy or Joel James, but this kid's upside is night and day higher. And I think he's big enough to play the four or the five. Top 30 at the Pango Camp is very impressive.
Will people still be complaining if we get 3 of Huffman, Stokes, Brooks, and Manley... And at least a couple of them are 4* by year end? I won't be.

Edit: Check out how he ranked against some awesome competition!

PJ would absolutely get full starters' minutes. That's a tad optimistic on Huffman as a frosh though.IMO, PJ would get 30 MPG from the git go. He's simply that good.
