I'm phony in that I am not stubborn. I will concede to that. If I feel I have made an error in judgment or understanding, I will openly admit it. If I see that what I thought was 'right" is no longer serving me, and maybe it was "wrong", then I have the humility to say "You know, that was wrong of me." If that makes me phony, then I'm phony, too.
There's a difference between principled and stubborn. One of my principles is to NOT BE STUBBORN.

Well, she has an ally with Sanders and Warren, who are both in staunch opposition to their influence. I'm leery of that myself, but I was leery of that for every president.
What I need to focus on is getting people I prefer into lower offices and move up from the bottom, through government. THAT is what Ron Paul tried to teach me. You mentioned you were in his camp before.

I agree with Strum. They WERE paid by Trump and furthermore if any of them cared about defending women who have been sexually assaulted or verbally assaulted, then they would have focused on that. The first thing out of each one of their mouths was "I'm here to support Mr. Trump because I want to help make America great again!" Followed by a train of praises for him as he sat in the middle of that table with his snout in the air like a king with his harem. I only believe ONE of those women have a legit claim about Clinton and the rest are just whoring themselves out to Trump. I have had an experience like they claim they had with a man once and I would NEVER out myself out there like that if this guy was running for office. There are better ways to handle that problem without going public, being paid to go public and cheerleading an idiot on!!! If those women cared and had some sense they would have NEVER sat beside a man who had just been exposed for suggesting he could do whatever he wants to a woman because of who he is!

Yes I did quite a bit of work for him and was fortunate enough to speak with him a few times as well as escort his family around Greenville to various events when they were in town.
You're correct, we do need to start with the lower offices because that is where it counts more anyway.
I'll probably decide on Election Day as to how I will vote. If the exit polls point toward a Trump win then I will probably vote for Hillary and go against things I believe in about wasting my vote but like you, I see that Johnson isn't cut out for this just as Trump isn't.
There is one thing that I am impressed by when it comes to Donald Trump. It is entirely possible that his candidacy will help create, or bring about, a MUCH-needed fracture in this party system. He's helped to show criticism and skepticism on both sides. But, just because he can help create that havoc, doesn't mean he's qualified to be president.

When Johnson showed the lack of composure and knowledge, I was really let down. Jill Stein is a bit too left-wing for me. Trump isn't conservative or right-wing at all. Trump is just "let me see how much shit I can stir up."

Well, their opinions are valuable. They may not be valid to you, or me, or whoever. But, they are valuable.
The one downside to me for being ignored is; I appreciate opposition to my opinions and perspectives. Without them, I stop growing and learning and being more aware. If everyone thought just like me, that would be terrible... FOR ME! Variety and variation is why I'm here! I like seeing it be more in-balance, but... I can't help when people decide they can no longer debate me.
I haven't defended his comments or his mindset. It was wrong of him to say it. All I said was... him saying that didn't offend me. But I can see how it offends others. Again, I'm not easily offended, so that's not saying much. Hillary letting those people die in Benghazi was wrong - but didn't offend me either.
I can agree with this. And as I've stated in other threads - while I could never bring myself to vote for Hillary, I think it very well could be best for the long term future of the country if she were to win. Either of them will monumentally botch their presidency. If that is Trump - he spooks voters from going away from the establishment in future elections. If it's Hillary - she convinces anyone left that needs convincing that the usual politicians need to go the way of the dinosaurs. Regardless of who wins... the 2020 election will be a landslide victory for the challenger over the incumbent (if that incumbent hasn't died or become incapacitated in the interim - which could easily be used as a way out to avoid a 2020 beatdown in either direction) .
Nor am I. I'm just trying to show that there is a correlation to being offended by something and by the presence of that offense, causes you to see it as "wrong." You take offense to what you consider wrong. If you didn't... why would it be wrong in the first place?

Hitler was not alone, dude! Hitler was one of many, many millions of people who thought exactly the same. He was one of many keystones that started the avalanche. Donald Trump is not alone either. I KNOW Hitler wasn't alone that doesn't change the fact that on that particular post I was only referring to him. You may see Trump as leading a disturbing cause and many of us see you as supporting disturbing causes.
I dunno about predictions like that, so far in the future. But, if the system is failing, then it will finally give way. I couldn't understand how Bernie supporters could get behind Clinton after the DNC. Now, I get it. But, the damage and the need for skepticism is there now. The people in the spotlight are not necessarily the ones that deserve all the credit. I'm glad that there was an opening for a Trump candidacy. I just would have preferred a candidate whose credentials were less about himself and a campaign that produced less focus on fear and prejudice.

Well, I find 71-00's contributions to be a bit more refined and show a little more capacity for broader thinking than 58. Even GSD is more on-the-ball than him. 58 offers very little challenge. But, he shows more balls by hanging in here with us. So, for that, he gets a big prop from me.
