I am beginning to hate leaf blowers

my friggin neighbors use these damn things constantly- there are 3 in particular that must have a pact that states at no point shall the cul-de-sac be free from small engine noise from 1 hour after sunrise until 2 hours after sunset. And im not kidding about the sunset part either- they have no qualms about running these fukin things at 7:30pm on a Sunday night.

I just want to sit on the porch, have a glass of scotch and enjoy the evening and it sounds like the japanese are about to come over the horizon and reenact pearl harbor. And they are all asshole moo fans too. Well, they are actually quite nice, but you get my drift.

I have one that stopped working so borrowed my dad's and it stopped working. I had to use the ride mower as a leaf blower to get them all in the woods. I love them, though I don't use them obsessively. I use them for the clippings when I mow and for leaves when necessary. I have a lot of leaves though so when I do use one in the fall it is like a 2 to 3 hour deal. It is almost always in the afternoon though.

I like a good rake. Leaf blowers blow leaves everywhere and you end up spend way more time blowing them than you should. Besides, I can listen to music or a good podcast while using the rake.

I don't mind raking but it would take days to rake my yard. Screw that. I can use the blower and just blow them into the woods. Plus, the blower has the ability to suck leaves in and chop them into a bag as well, which is nice for the deck.

LOL!!! I found that to be pretty damn funny. Just get back at them by blaring the Dead from 2 a.m. til sunrise.
