Do anyone see this bs in the dook game? The refs gave them the game. Put eight extra seconds on the clock and then the qb doesn't break the plane of the goal line. I hope we beat them by 60 next Saturday. The refs called like 25 penalties on Miami and 5 on dook. Total bs!!

The dook "story" is one the league office wants to perpetuate. No doubt. We will have to outplay them by 2 TDs to actually win next weekend. As consolation, Miami is now officially out of the race....lost in the UNC/Pitt/dook talk was that had Miami swept those 3, they'd have probably won the Coastal

I was in a bar and about 4 sheets in the wind when they reviewed and gave the U the TD the dook jerkoffs were so relieved and thought they had won and it was snatched away from them. I talked so much shat that I was hoarse. Home now and still drunk.

the ref seemed very apologetic when he announced they couldn't find any reason to take away miami's winning touchdown. he was clearly disappointed they couldn't give the game to dook.

Thought I was being channeled into ANOTHER of the countless dook "wins" that have been handed to them in BBALL, courtesy of bizarre clock issues and inept and intimidated officials. LO and behold the DOOCHIES finally get a small taste of their own medicine .Better get used to it aholes because when Vader leaves, so too will your immense breaks you have been given over the last 30 YEARS with officials

The refs totally butchered that entire review of Miami's game winning lateral touchdown. I'm a Notre Dame fan, but even I will admit the refs totally blew that review. Duke got hosed on that call.

Miami had players running onto the field from the bench before the runner crossed the goal line. Automatic penalty right there. A Miami player had a knee down one on of the laterals, and the ref was standing right there. The refs called a block in the back on Miami during the return, there was a flag at the end of the play for it. Then the officials huddle up and have that review for a solid 10 minutes, and use the replay review to change the call on a penalty. The officials cannot change a penalty call using replay review. Unbelievably incompetent display of officiating. The penalty on Miami for a block in the back should have negated the entire play and subsequent touchdown.

ACC officials are just incompetent. The team that should have won last night, won. Miami was the better team. They got screwed big time on the last Duke drive on some bogus PI calls. But man, that ending and how the officials screwed that was epic. How can you review and over turn a block in the back? My only fear now is that Cutcliffe is going to complain so much, Duke will get every call against UNC next week. Remember 2 years ago when the ACC wanted Duke to win. Over 100 yards of bad calls cost UNC the game. That is my fear right now. UNC is obviously better than Duke. Officiating could be the difference.

So the master officiating conspiracy against UNC will be taking place next week and decide the game??

OK....

Any true UNC fan had to be laughing their azzz off last night. dook , I mean dook having the tables turned on them and that lucky damn horseshoe fall out of their azz. I haven't heard comments from the old geezer yet.

Completely agree. They were blasting the officiating in College Football Final this morning. If that were us instead of Dook, we would be screaming bloody murder.

They screwed Miami the entire game... Looked like they were trying to hand the game to Dook. But that narrative (of officiating bias, I mean) doesn't hold up when you look at the last play of the game - the ONE play that truly, inarguably, definitively decides the outcome - and the officials get it wrong and Miami wins. Tough to say they are trying to give the game to Dook when they end up giving it to Miami. They could have easily upheld the block in the back, or called the knee on the ground, but they don't.

Just further proves what I've been saying all along - these ACC refs are INCOMPETENT- but not necessarily biased.

I just didn't see clear evidence that the runner was down at any time. As for the players running onto the field maybe it was close but refs can't decide a game on a call like that. The point when the block in the back call was made was totally bogus it was clearly from the side. Not a dook fan? Don't dook and ND fans usually flock together? I assume that's why they never play each other unless forced to.

There is a picture showing the guy was down BUT .... there is no video which shows this, in other words, inconclusive, in other words, the ruling on the field stands, in other words, touchdown Hurricanes.

Suck it dookies.

The point of the matter is that the block in the back call WAS made. The officials went back and altered their decision of that call based on the video review. The officials are not to use video review to overturn penalties. Similar to how a coach cannot challenge a penalty. If this had happened to UNC Thursday night you would have lost your mind and then some.

Pretty much, the incompetence is galling.

You do not know if the video review was used in waving off the block in the back the refs could have consulted even before the review was complete and all scores in the last 2 minutes are usually reviewed and unless they were calling the block in the back near where the kick was received(flag thrown no where near that area) there were no other blocks in the back. The player being down was questionable but in the heat of all the lateraling and players running all over the field the refs had a lot to watch. I just know that I feel sassisfied(spelling intentional) this a.m.

If the refs consulted and decided to pick up the flag that's ok; happens frequently. But if they used video replay to overrule the penalty, then that's wrong. I would be pissed if it happened to us. But don't really care since its dook.

Overall, just continued referee incompetence.

The lateral when the Miami player was alleged to be down was basically a fumble if it was a normal play does anybody think the fumble would be overturned.? As he is starting to lateral has he already lost control of the ball before the knee goes down? Also the flag came in very , very late.(maybe a last ditch attempt to save the game for dook that was deemed too blatant?)

We've been screwed by the zebras as much as any team in the league. The officiating on d00k's last drive was terrible and led directly to d00k's score. But then, the officiating has been terrible all year long. Don't expect many of us to feel sorry for d00k. When you've been in the league a little longer and you see them consistently get assistance from the officials, you'll understand why we just might not be too upset about a possible bad call against them.
