But tomorrow night will be very emotional for me. Growing up in alabama descended from family in wisc in the 60's meant u were a packer fan who loved bart starr. When i was 6 i got a book about starr in my stocking and read it cover to cover christmas mornng and prob a hundred more times in years that follow. He was my hero andni emulated him every way possible. He is a true class act. His charity work and community outreach is way too long to even list. Later in life another hero of mine would be dean smith. Both to me represented what sports should be. Well Dean has died and Starr has had a couple strokes and is not much longer for this world. Hes making his final trip from ala to green bay thurs for Favre's ceremony. He cant talk, has lost lots of memory and can barely stand. But he has been rehearsing raising his hand to the crowd for several months. Whether or not u gad about the packers i hope u watch and see the reaction that starr will get when he makes an appearance. It will be one of those moments u rarely see. I've already warned my wife that i'm gonna cry.
