I love the color green

Has there ever been a bigger punk a__ bitch poor sport pussy than Grayson Allen? I'd love to see him lose every game he plays. He basically gave them nothing that wasn't given to him at the line. Stuff he won't get at all at the next level.

Dook fans are delusional talking about how "stacked" theyre gonna be next year. Lose Allen and Ingram and replace them with Giles and Tatum. Doesnt hide the huge flaws in the frontline and at the point guard position

Yep. They recruit at Cheerleader. It was quite the entertaining topic (including multiple pics) on the Auburn board surroiunding the Natty football gane in 2010. Them Nike swooshes lookin' good right about now...

They'll be #1 at beginning of season based on incoming class. Just like Kentucky this year. Hope it works out for dook like it did this year for uk.

Laettner, Hurley, Reddick, and now Grayson Allen joins the list of punk crybabies. For the list part (minus the phantom trip call they called on Oregon against White Whiplash) refs caught on to Grayson's "act" and when he wasn't getting the calls tonight, he was pretty useless

Jayson is the real deal. However I don't think Giles would be the same player after 2 knee injuries. I think he will have a quincy miller type freshman. Year.

I think this was a very successful season. Tyus, Justice, Okafor and to an extent Amile? This was a good year nothing to be ashamed of. That's how I feel and trust me Duke losses hurt but this was a good year IMO

Successful season and great coaching job are being thrown around a lot for a preseason top 5 team. We know those rankings don't mean all that much but that team had a ton of talent that didn't ever mesh that well. Thornton and Jeter were definitely not what they expected but there are several less talented teams that are still around.

"Stacked" is an overstatement, but they definitely won't be hurting like this year. Tatum and Giles could be better than Allen and Ingram IMO.

With Giles, DeLaurier and potentially The G.O.A.T. Jefferson getting to re-do his season, they won't be too bad off as people expect. Jeter may even surprise us. Though I highly doubt it.

And they do have a 5 * PG coming in. If Thornton improves, they could be troublesome.

Who effin cares..excuse me..Duke has been eliminated from post season play..Ingram turned out to be a hell of a player--truth
Yes, Ingram is the real deal and we will see him for many years as he develops his game at the pro level. But I can't help but think Duke would have been a better team this year had the offense flowed through him rather than just handing him the ball expect an easy score while watching from the bleachers.

NO!

Ducks fly high...no body likes to lose but to turn your back on someone trying to say good game is embarrashing. Just because your coach earlier in the year refused to shake hands does not mean you should follow his lead...

Refs are the only thing that kept dook in the top 25 this season. Without tons of bullshit FTs from flops and flings they would have lost 7-8 more games this year. They needed a massive FT advantage to even beat UNC-Wilmington.

and maybe Bolden. He's down to Kentucky, Duke and TCU. Obviously he can get minutes right away at TCU. I think he picks Duke though.

I heard the explanation on TV late last night as to WHY old Punkson and the rest of the LTCCers were upset at game end and did not shake hands...

Punkson, aka The day tripper.... ya know the DIRTIEST ball player in all of college basketball by a million miles
well vanilla whiplash, who pulled EVERY phony trick in his dbag arsenal last night, Punkson was REALLY UPSET that the player from Oregon at the VERY end of the game TOOK a 3 pointer....... and BTW it went in

Punkson did not think that was FAIR and was BAD sportsmanship Yes you heard that right ......PUNKSON felt that the other team committed an act of poor sportsmanship by TAKING that meaningless last shot.

Therefore Punkson refused to shake those mean old Duck hands. He was OUTRAGED I tell ya and showed his displeasure by turning away!!

This colossal ahole, coached by an even bigger one, just showed AGAIN why he is so loathed

2 lottery picks in your starting 5, no regular season banner, no ACC Tournament success and you can't get past the Sweet 16. Slow clap, great season Ratface ... great season. Now back to the Olympic recruiting trail.

This was a successful season for your dukies? I mean, finishing 6th in the ACC, going in to the NCAAT with a about .500 record in their last several games, losing first round of the ACCT they played, losing to the first major D-1 team they played in the NCAAT? That is a successful record, that makes a successful season for duke?

I can see NC State, GT, Clemson, even wake taking such a view but this is now a successful duke season?

Yes for THIS DUKE TEAM it was a successful season. I know what the general standard is; however, I'm simply being realistic. Looking at the talent and experience and actually watching the games, this was a good season when you consider everything in its totality. Listen, there have been seasons where I considered it a failure. Hell I considered 99 a failure with Elton brand and company and that team made it all the way to the championship. I did not expect an acc title this year regular season or tourney and I expected to make it to the sweet sixteen. There was a time during this season that making the tourney period was in doubt. This team had some good wins and made it through some tough adversity. Yes I'm happy with this season as a FAN.

Competent officiating woulda had dook knocked out first round

Dook QUIT on kay. They were just going through the motions 2nd half

I suspect that you are still some what basking in the glow from last season as well as looking forward now a little bit to a solid recruiting class coming in. Understandable actually that you would look at a season like this one and be a bit more upbeat had last season not developed as it did and you were not looking at as great a incoming freshman class next season.

I am just saying, it would not be a season if we had it, that I would look back on as successful unless it was having to be adjusted in some way for extra things that happen. For example, the last time we missed the NCAAT and ended up in the championship game for the NIT, that was different because we had 2 starters that had season ending injuries and set a new record for total games in a season missed due to injury. Those kind of things really frame how we see a season in the end. You guys had 1 role player starter than missed most of the season due to injury, that NIT season we had every single starter other than Deon miss games due to injury and 2 starters with season ending injury, one was projected 1st team ALL ACC and was a strong NBA draftee.

they have Frank Jackson (a scoring PG) coming in. Thornton needs to get his transfer papers in order becuase he will be a backup PG rest of his career. Jeter may want to do likewise. We will see with "China Doll" Giles if he is the real thing.

I was hoping this thread would go on the direction of showing more female ducks wearing (little) green. Like someone else said...for science.

Gary - time to provide some Duck cheerleader "stats and stuff". You always post great content. :)

I will take the blonde in the middle for $300 Chuck, darn I hope thats the daily double! LOL
I hear ya. Comparing those 2 cheerleading squads is like night and day. One looks like it could be pro cheerleaders the other looks like a HS team.

They have a strongly talented class coming in for sure, the guard you are talking about is frank Jackson, some see him as a 2 and others like myself feel he is a PG. I personally think Kennard is going to have an outstanding freshman season, pair him up with jackson in that back court with Thorton coming off their bench is a load.

Everyone talks about Giles and Tatum, for good reason but don't under estimate DeLaurier, I think he is a big timer. jeter will fill out and I expect him to be much improved over this season, he just was not ready for a freshman season at duke.

Duke will be talented and they will be deep with talent, they will be a load to handle. Kinda like the Jabari parker team IMO, maybe a lil better and deeper.

Correct. I would be an absolute phony if I said last year and the incoming class had nothing to do with it as well. I don't dispute that at all. Also, I'm kind of looking forward to Thornton, Jeter and Kennard growing together. I think all three will be at Duke all four years, well three now. It was a pleasure to have Quinn Cook for four years, Marshal Plumlee for four years, Amile Jefferson for what will be five years and Matt Jones will be a senior next year having him for all four years. Nolan Smith, Lance Thomas, Singler, the list goes on. It's a nice mix it seems each year of guys who will be around for one or two years like Ingram, Justice, Okafor, Tyus or kyrie.
