I think Hicks can average a double double this season.

I believe he can, and I think the 14 pts could possibly be on the low side. If we feed him the ball he can and will score in bunches.

If hicks is able to play 30+ minutes a night, he's a 16 Pt and 8-10 Rebs type player for us. I really believe that.

13 and 7 at 24mpg would be a nice improvement for Hicks. He might hit 14ppg but I doubt he gets more than 7 boards or 24 min a game.

I tend to agree, he could average a double-double but as we all have discussed, he needs to be on the floor, playing some smart ball (as an example: not reaching/fouling following a poor play previously), if he continues to move well on defense he can become that player. Hope his summer work is fruitful. Guess we'll get some pick up reports soon enough.

12-14 PPG 6-8 RPG
Agree on the numbers, only because his averages will suffer from some low-minute games.

That said, I also reckon there'll be more than one or two beast-style nights out where Isaiah goes all Brice-at-FSU on some poor unsuspecting opponents.

Hicks can score & rebound but he needs to stop picking up cheap fouls.

Geez guys, I think we have all clearly established that Hicks needs to cut down on the fouls, I think we all know with crystal clear certainty that Hicks production should explode if he limits his fouls and is able to stay on the court more.

Best I can tell from the replies to this thread as well as a few other threads is there seems to be 2 schools of thought on this Hicks topic. Those that feel he is foul prone and will always be foul prone, which seems like a solid majority and those of a more minority opinion that Hicks not only can but will limit his fouls as a senior which is in line with what I think will happen. Not saying the majority of folks feel one way or the other, just sharing what it feels like to me.

Now the OP says he thinks Hicks can average a double double much like Brice did this past season, he does not say this will happen, he says he thinks it can happen. Now I happen to agree with him but lets consider those opinions that feel it will not. It means either of 2 things, either you do not think Hicks can limit his fouls next season or you feel even if he can stay on the court for 30+ a game he is still not capable of getting double doubles most games.

Now personally, I will be glad to say last season, in the games I watched that Hicks was not in constant foul trouble, I felt (my opinion) just as comfortable with Hicks in the game as I did with Brice. I felt Hicks was just as productive, IMO very little drop off with Hicks in there when Brice sat. he only became tentative when he got himself in to that foul trouble. I strongly believe that a Hicks that can be on the floor for 30+ mins a game is absolutely capable of a double double. As I have said in and on other threads, I do think Hicks will limit his fouls as a senior, huge difference in being a starter and being a guy off the bench and especially so with frenquency of fouls. Yeah, I do think he can limit his foul problems so if I add those 2 things together then yeah, I agree with the OP, Hicks can average a double double.

I note some of the replies in this thread that don't feel he can average that but feel he is more a 14/8 guys, I think one reply said 16/9? REALLY, can't grant that he could be a double double guy because of 1 rebound, a forrest is still a forrest even with 1 less tree? LOL Sorry but it just strikes me funny that we can not think he can average a double double over a single rebound a game? And really, the difference is what, if he averages 16/9 or he averages 15/10? There is really not much difference in the 2, certainly not enough to say one can and one can not happen...

Hicks will be a monster and the focal point of opponents' game plans. (Unless JJ comes back) In any case, we will see 17/11 and minutes increased to 25-30 / game.

Go Tar Heels!

It took Brice until the Midway point of his Junior year to become less foul prone. Once the light came on, it really came on. I think Isaiah will realize that he can be the focal point of our interior offense if he can play major minutes, and that his pro future will be impacted by his ability/inability to do so.

I think he'll have a big Senior year.
