we probably bumped into each other because there were not that many people to bump into. I was the old man wandering around in the white shirt -- I think I remember bumping into you.
Since you were in at Kenan, you no doubt saw first-hand that UNC's entire team was flat. Especially the D, but everybody was flat. The D seemed to have a problem figuring out where to line up because the Blue Hens (just love than moniker) operated from a spread formation and many times our D players were still running around trying to figure out where to take a stance when the Blue Hens snapped the ball.
You know how in a big game the D players look to the fans, raise their arms & hands and encourage them to make some noise? Well, today the D team never looked at the stands because (1) they weren't in the mood for cheers and (2) there was no one in the stands to cheer for them.
At the same time that the Blue Hens are making minced meat out of our D on the ground all day long, our players on the sideline are yukking it up and looking for friends in the stands, which was pretty stupid since there wasn't anybody in the stands.
The Blu Hens played their tail feathers off and deserve to be congratulated. There were only about 30 of them that made the trip - hard to count the helmets in the rain. The Heels, on the other hand, just showed and went through the motions - like a walk through on the day before a game. With both teams playing at their best the Heels win by 60 points.
On to Atlanta - better strap in on tight, baby.
