Mike Woodson is “retiring” at season’s end.
I only post this because it will be interesting to watch, as there would likely a lot of overlap in their and our candidate search (should Bubba make the decision to move on at any point).
Granted, they’ve not held blue blood status for almost 2 decades, but still have 5 banners. I firmly believe that is still a highly attractive job, and they have a hefty annual NIL budget (some say top 5).
Might help us understand the market a bit since our job likely has very few “comps” to use a real estate term. But there have been some definite similarities in their current situation and ours (respected former AA player hired with no collegiate head coaching experience, and a large portion of the fan base unhappy with results).
