It bemuses me to watch so many games with low scoring results, really good teams with very deliberate pace, and remember all the criticism bestowed upon Coach Smith for some of his tactical coaching decisions in order to win games. If I remember correctly, he was never opposed to a shot clock. His teams had a very high and efficient points per possession per minutes played.
