Is it possible we're better next year if someone leaves?

you do know brown is projected as the number one pick in the 16' draft right?
Derrick Caracter, Lenny Cooke, DeJuan Wagner, Felipe Lopez and Schea Cotton all say hello...from wherever the hell they are these days.

Not sure about losing anyone but A healthy Marcus page makes this team better. A lot of Jp's issue were being stuck with the ball when Marcus could not beat his man off the dribble due to injury. Jp was usually the open man because he is the most limited offensively from the perimeter

5 is certainly enough for me to question calling Brown a "can't miss" project based on his high school performance.

No, it puts us an injury from small ball which would be best for our team.
What 5 players makeup our best 'small ball' team . . ?

And how many of this year's Final Four teams do you think we would beat with that 'small ball' team you speak of . . ?

JP OVER INGRAM OR BROWN IS A DEFINITE WOW!!
Go ahead, kick JP Tokoto to the curb, run the bus over him, back it up over him and move on . . . then the following week Jaylen Brown commits to UCLA or Kentucky and Ingram opts for dOOk . .

Heaven forbid that Theo breaks his foot again next season and then you're left sitting in your recliner with nobody to guard anyone on the wing . .

Billy,

No one is suggesting we throw JP under the bus. But i swear, some here seem to think with too much UNC Blue in their thoughts than others. I root for all players that choose to play in Carolina blue. But I'm not going to pretend our team doesnt need improvement or new recruits. Something that many here have succeaafully done for themselves. Anyone that can say with a straight face they'd take JP over, not only the #1 wing, but the #1 player in the nation is someone i don't think has watched any of our games this season. That's absolutely absurd to me.

My point was that there is absolutely no guarantee that either JB or BI commit to us if Tokoto were to leave. Unless you know something about the #1 and #10 recruits that I do not.
No insider info. I'm just shocked someone claimed they'd take JP over JB or BI. Seems unrealistic to me.

I can't speak to how DSouthr feels or what he has posted . . but, I know many on this board value his opinion with a very high regard.

Billy..no offense..but dook is playing small ball and enjoying alot of success with winslow at the 4..actually went on their run with the switch like we did 2 years ago when we won about 11-12 straight!!..I don't prefer it,but sometimes it's needed..

Where is this "JP Tokoto is a lockdown defender" talk coming from. In 4 of our last 5 games the guy he was guarding had a career night. It takes alot more than being long and athletic

And the people saying theyll take JP over Ingram are the same people that said theyll take a sophomore Meeks over freshman Okafor and how much better Berry is than Tyus Jones, fwiw

I don't think we getc any better if someone leaves....never want experience and depth to leave....but I know we get better if we bring in top drawer talent. So bring in a top talent...get it done.

dOOk is being dOOk with Winslow at the 4 spot, 4 shooters that can all hit the 3 ball.

We don't have that same luxury when going small - ball . .

Apples to Oranges . .

yeah..forgot about that..it's been a while since they had a dominant big man in the middle..yeah, and they always surround their bigs with shooters..that's the norm for them.it hurts them in certain matchups..especially if the 3's aren't fallen which i'm hoping for tomorrow!! both msu and uk have mobile bigs at the 4 spot to offset winslow (lyles,towns,dawson)..with another weight loss summer, I think meeks can man the middle by himself and be surrounded by all shooters..would love to see paige, berry,jj,ingram on the floor with meeks in some of those same small ball sets!!.jj and ingram both standing at 6'8-6'9 really isn't small ball unless you factor in their weight!!

23+ Points were scored by each Player guarded by JP in the tourney. So I'm just as confused as you
