As a possible Tar Heel head coach in a few years????

I would think he is starting to get a look but we will need to see something longer term . What his team is doing now knocking off all these big boys like GTown and UCLA is impressive. Can he maintain that for a few years with recruiting etc and record??

BTW I am NOT a fan of this whole Bench routine that his team practices. Too much showboating by players who are not even on the court and playing to the crowd.


Of course media like ESPN now FOCUSES on them and this FAD hopefully will die out soon. But I am an old fart, so many youngins may find this appealing but not me.

I love the success that King Rice is having this year. However,
let's not get ahead of ourselves. His overall coaching record,
after last night is 58-80. Yes he is building a program, but he
needs more time to prove himself. Best of luck to King
and maybe he will get a higher level gig out of a good season
this year.

I love the bench. I don't see it as "showboating". I see it as a fun way for those guys to support their teammates and be a part of the team. Not to mention, they're hilarious.

As far as Rice being UNC's head coach, I scoff at that notion right now. Talk to me in 5 years after Rice makes some noise in the postseason.

Or we could, you know, give the best candidate available the job instead of handing it to unqualified coaches that are "family"
