About a half dozen mock drafts that I checked out today all have Tony in early 2nd round, but that will likely change so Who knows. Selfishly, I'd love to have him back but wish him the best whichever way he decides.
One surprising in the mocks I saw, was that JJ was projected very late 1st round in 3-4 of them; literally only a few spots from slipping to second round. I think the highest one had him at 16, which is more of where I thought he would go - just outside the lottery picks to early 20's.
Yeah that is very likely. I don't feel like he'll be back but selfishly hope he does return.Mark, the problem I fear with Tony is that he will impress the evaluators so much that his stock is going to rise and that enough to go mid-late 1st round. Tony is going to make his mark in the combines.
That's the elephant in the room. I think he will grade out very well in the combine. If so, he could be gone.Mark, the problem I fear with Tony is that he will impress the evaluators so much that his stock is going to rise and that enough to go mid-late 1st round. I agree with you @BillyL ... in a vacuum, TB has CRAZY good skills. But there is also a good chance he's told "you have a huge NBA career ahead of you ... if you'll spend one more season under Roy and Co. you will get big time guaranteed money in the 2018-19 draft."Mark, the problem I fear with Tony is that he will impress the evaluators so much that his stock is going to rise and that enough to go mid-late 1st round. Yep both teams badly need wings that can score the ball, but like you said I think he's gone in the first half of the first roundI honestly think JJ will be gone by pick 14. I also think OKC or a team like Memphis won't let him pass them.
I'll bet my house Theo is back , Tony ? all bets are off.Absolutely fantastic news! Woohoo, I already can't wait for next season.
Now come on back Tony, Theo, and whoever else wants to play into early April.
