We will need him moving well and with enough support to square up to shoot. It was obvious tonight that he wasn't able to shoot from lack of ankle support. Not enough ice in Siberia to apply to that ankle.

He does not need to hit the practice floor until Friday. He should be be ready to go by then. One key that know one is talking about. Roy kept it a secret that Berry hurt his ankle in Saturday's practice. Smart move at this late stage in season. Why give Kentucky an incentive.

I'd give him his ice, and cups and let him do some film work or shoot FT's....walk it, move it, gently flex but no stress on either ankle until late week, like steat said.

Berry needs to REST, REST, REST!!!!!!! He shouldn't leave his bed this week other than for treatment, and even then, someone should carry him to and from.

He needs some better damn high tops... those things are loose and did t look to tight on his ankles at all.
I don't think college or NBA players have worn high tops for quite a while, and even if they do wear them, it is rare that they would prevent a turning of an ankle on either of the plays that JB experienced in the tourney games. They aren't as stable as hiking boot, combat boots or ski boots.

I think / heard they retape them for stability, including after the roll early yesterday. That does more than any shoe, I'm guessing.

I'm sure the trainers know what they are doing. Not their first rodeo.

As someone who sprained ankles almost as often as the weather changed growing up (I have very weak ankles), I can tell you once you do it and are in the "recovery" mode, it is much easier to re injure it. I can't tell you how many times I rolled mine and was on my way to recovering only to do it again. You compensate to alleviate the pain and that often causes you to roll it again.

Frankly, I can't believe Dog made it back knowing what we do now. Rolling the same injured ankle the day before is bad enough, but rolling the other one in the game and STILL coming back? Dude is one tough nut!

Go ice them down, stay off of them and tape the crap out of them next Saturday. Should be good to go for the game, but he won't be 100% until a few weeks from now.
