Spoke with linebacker Jonathan Smith and all the talk about UNC and Duke being the favorites seems to be justified. UNC probably has the edge, though he wouldn't outright say that. Smith did say he's trying to visit Michigan and Notre Dame in the next week. At the Freak Show, Smith was able to speak with John Papuchis both beforehand and afterwards. Their relationship is really strong and that could pay off.
Smith told me late last night that Papuchis plans to take "three inside guys". Of course the old school MLB is not as prevalent as it was but it was still interesting to hear it phrased like that. Smith is obviously one of the guys they want and feel best about.
