Justin invited to combine, Kennedy not

Let's be honest, Kennedy doesn't belong at the Combine. It's blatantly obvious - even for those blinded by the Tar Heel shades. Dude doesn't stand a chance in the NBA...JP Tokoto had a much better chance.

Well that means if we can eliminate the euro now option, many feel we can, then we have all our front court that could be available back for next season. Personally, I REALLY want Justin back as well and sincerely hope those that are saying he is a lock to come back are right.

I love the young man, but Kennedy has so many limitations when realistically considering his pro aspirations. Unless he dislikes school, and everything I see points to just the opposite, he'll be back.

I feel it's 50-50 that JJ returns. I certainly hope he does.

big mistake if he comes back..ask marcus!!..marcus lost alot of money coming back after his sophomore season..yeah,he got a chance to win a championship, but lost millions in return!!..hope he returns, but i wouldn't..he's not me either!!

he isnt a lotto pick this year like he was last year and marcus never was a lottery pick... fringe 1st rounder.

If he projected first round JJ should go.

Meeks has to get back to where he was playing 12-15 months ago... JJ needs much more upper body strength at this point. His jump is money when he has time to shoot. The thing about the NBA is that the defense usually does not give one that much time. Time will tell with both (jmho)...

It can always go both ways, did Brice mess up by coming back?

Marcus was a tremendous college player and a great leader and a testimony to what Carolina basketball is all about but I do not ever see him in the NBA. He will probably be drafted but he would have to be in a perfect fit like McAdoo did with Golden State a couple of years ago. I know we all hope Marcus gets a fair chance in the NBA like butter did a few years ago but I just don't know. I really hope I am wrong but at this moment I just don't see it...

or he could ask Brice. J.J. needs to show he can thrive as a 1st option and needs to overcome his penchant for going AWOL for extended periods of games,

We will have to agree to disagree on Marcus losing millions. Your college playing career means something, but what you show at the combine especially for Marcus because clubs will be looking at his PG skills means even more. Late first or early second IMHO, and that is this year or two years ago.

C'mon Mike..do I really got to show you?..the all American sophomore year averaging 17ppg,shooting over 40% from 3 and over 4 apg..all of these numbers that got his jersey retired!!..were there 60 players better..there were late lottery pick talk at that time..surely you haven't forgot!!

I looked at the mock drafts, not mentioned in the top 60. Why do you not like kids staying in school?

That will be the determining factor, as I understand it. Early feedback has him leaning to returning. Combine could still change that, but.... our chances have gotten better recently.

I would love to see one credible article that said Marcus was a late lottery pick after his Sophomore year..and I'll tell you what's a certainty, he's glad he came back all 4 years--he loves Roy, can't argue that..listen to his interviews..that young man choose his career after basketball

I guess two mediocre years after that can make one forget..and no,I don't have nothing against kids coming back...all because I said JJ should go?..you guys want these kids to come back to school, particularly the guards and wings..but which of these players under the Roy Williams era showed drastic improvements?..Danny green?..that's it?..there's no doubt about what he does with the bigs..but our guards and wings stay the same or take a step back!!..the verdict is still out on berry!!

You can't be serious here. just off the top of my head Felton, Lawson, McCants, Green, Butter, PJ even though not all stayed the full 4 years, each got better over their years at UNC. The guards who dropped had injury problems..... see Frasor, Thomas, Ginyard, Strickland, Bullock and Paige.

The ones you named were good when they got here..Felton,Lawson,mccants, were tops at their position!!..the rest looked better because of more pt..but not drastically better..for everyone you named even before their injuries ..their games looked the exact same!!..didn't take a genius to see that Felton,Lawson, mccants were going to be good!!..facts!!
